At this point I’d be terrified of any PIPs that Pratt has planned in the future, who knows if they’ll manage to mess something up again when they’re trying to improve the engine.

Even on the 787, where it was supposed to be easy to swap motors, the feature never really caught on. There have been a few frames over the years that have been swapped, but usually by the manufacturer after flight testing, or so on. Not on production / operational frames by the airline themselves....

Bad news, the fix may take 6 months or more before production can resume - Hong Kong Express Airways Ltd expects at least a six-month delay in deliveries of new Airbus SE AIR.SE A320neo jets due to issues with engines made by Pratt & Whitney, according to an internal memo issued by the airline....

Those were just parts at the time, not full aircraft, so I would assume not. This says 10,000 deliveries too. So that is 10k delivered aircraft. Does it? I read the Twitter post like BWI does in that this is the 10k fuselage unit to roll off of Spirit's line and head for Renton, not the 10,000th 73...

Actually most fitting would have been Lufthansa as they were launch customer for the 737-100. That's really reaching... I say WN is more fitting due to them being the largest 737 operator and have taken delivery of a lot of the 737 milestones. Really you don't think the first carrier to ever operat...

They were on one engine for over three hours, not a comfortable feeling over the pacific No way I´d fly on a Twin over the open Pacific. What a horror to depend on one engine on a old plane way past its prime for 3 hours. Gonna be pretty tough for you to get over there then, what a silly comment.

Delta knows if they sour the relationship with Boeing much more, it will ruin any negotiation advantage they have with Airbus. Airbus has a captive audience with Delta on anything larger than a C-Series and will price accordingly. Or they are interested in this aircraft like all the other US3 have ...

The CFM Leap can't deliver the same max. thrust as the PW1100G, so if you want to get the most out of your A321NLR, you really need the PW engines. That being said, with today's PW engines your NEO LR is going nowhere... IMO, the A321NEO LR is a great concept, but it's not a B752 yet. :bored: Geez ...

Well the aircraft initially had a 212t MTOW and it's now currently at 242t and it will now increase to 251t with the A330neo. If my memory serves me well I believe for awhile 238t was the standard and there were weight variations made below that before the increase to the current 242t MTOW.
