I see no reason to assume the Cuban government will not disclose the reason for the accident. And since this was a Mexican registered aircraft, there is no embargo that would affect the plane.

Passengers do actually order and drink tomato juice. If you are hungry and there is no meal service, tomato is pretty filling as opposed to the other juices carried. what I find interesting about the whole Islam religion is how differently it is viewed in the ME. You have countries like Iran and Saudi Arabia who enforce all the tenets (no alcohol, etc.) and then you have places like Dubai which is basically just Vegas in a different desert.

Could Airbus make a "Europeanized" version of some of its aircraft with no American parts to get around US sanctions? Supposedly Russia is doing this, and their aerospace sector is far smaller and less sophisticated than Europe's. This is what I have asked. No one seems to know the answer...

I like it. It's simple but classy. Not a huge fan of billboard titles but this one, like Swiss, seems to work. Everyone knows it is an airline so need to add "Airlines" to the fuselage.
