My intent is not an Airbus vs Boeing fanboy war. I just looked at the data from reputable sources and feel like the 787 is a better alternative for Delta. Welcome to a.net. You probably have all the best intentions, but you should select your sources with care. Seeking Alfa is a website for feeding...Jump to post
The obvious answer is the 5 elderly 333 and 2 of the 332s I suppose?Jump to post
Slightly less sensationalist than the Daily Fail.
This will only add steam to the laptop ban talk, rightly or wrongly. If I were to hazard a guess, the laptop will turn out to be nothing and this guy is mentally ill. Pilots take the necessary action by descending to a lower altitude and seemingly great response by the cabin crew. Flying down to a ...Jump to post
Well done to the EU negotiators for not caving in to nonsense demands. Hardball indeed.Jump to post
Ok, understood. So why doesn't BA mainline have/copy/follow the same t&c's as CityFlyer so they too can cut costs?
Same reason all of the 'regional' offshoots exist - to pay a proportion of their staff less wages and give less benefits.
Thats about the long and short of it.
Apologies for the low res pic, but I am data limited while roaming MSN 111 (TG) is flying as AIB02GA
*edit* gotta work faster to beat Karel, even when sat here watching
I cant wait for the Airlines to get slapped with a ADA sanction for failing to make seats for disabled passengers yes obesity is a disability per US rules. The airlines have gone too far in my view! Way too far! In the reduction of width seat pitch seat leg room and aisle width too. Passengers gett...Jump to post

Well done!! My problem with this is that there wasn't much announced in the way of who will launch it. A lot of confusion overall. Also, since the Virgin America brand will be gone in 2 years, why not deliver it with the new Alaska interiors and livery? This exact question has been answered 2 or 3 ...Jump to post
The VS 744 is temporary back at LHR due to a temporary aircraft shortage as a result of a 787-9 tech and an A340-600 tech. The only slack in VS fleet right now is the 744 fleet which is why on occasion one is ferried over to LHR when aircraft go tech. This is separate to A330 refit which has had mi...Jump to post
Just because it's a vacation market it doesn't necessarily make it very low yield. Have you seen the economy prices in the summer months? The VS 744s are PE heavy and get good loads, for example.Jump to post
As far as the cops go, this was bad, but have you noticed all these cops incidences lately? Am no law enforcement but seems like to me, when a cop orders you to do something, other than harming yourself, you MUST comply otherwise the cop can get physical and they, at the end will not be penalized f...Jump to post
Before people forget this, the pressure should me mounted on DOT in framing/correcting the existing rules and make them more passenger friendly. Today its United and tomorrow it can be some other airline and one of us can be a victim. This. The USA needs an EU261 style regulation desperately. Right...Jump to post
I feel really bad for United here, their branding is splashed all over an - admittedly unfortunate - incident that they had nothing to do with. The security personnel really should have called Police if they felt that level of force was required, but at least the clown won't think of arguing with a...Jump to post
Nevermind the horrible terms and pay, or working for a parasite. The biggest problem is forcing American pilots through the painful process of getting an European pilot license. I'd need to get paid a large premium to take that hassle on. Do you know what the actual pay is for captains at Norwegian...Jump to post
It's not all cuts. Club Europe is being added to UK domestic flights next month. I don't want to get into BA bashing, but just want to point out that BA is having to introduce CE on domestic flights because of the service cuts in ET! To avoid justified rage when someone on a full F ticket with a do...Jump to post
The airlines brought it on themselves. Care to site a source? Last time I checked flyers wanted the cheapest seat. Airlines are simply obliging and giving customers what they want. There are plenty of seats available with more space on virtually every aircraft for those who consider that to be a pr...Jump to post
I have be been involved in 2 of these large scale mass casulalty exercises at a large international airport (held overnight after the majority of the operation shuts down). Inevitably stuff always goes wrong and there are always lessons to be learnt. A certain amount of confusion or miscommunication...Jump to post
Tourism dollars are chased by Banana Republics, Not the United States. The United States isn't Europe. It's much more like China or Brazil. Insular and self sufficient. I can visit the Arctic, Desert, Caribbean and South Pacific without ever using my passport. It does not need outside tourism to su...Jump to post
It isn't just TATL that they could be used on of course (secondary middle east destinations stand out for me). I too see a fleet of around 10 at BA.Jump to post

This announcement is about as exciting as Qatars massive super awesome best ever announcement in the US last year that was all hype and no substance.Jump to post
Of course it does. Big ticket high publicity items are always targets when retaliation is on the cards.
But do we really need a new thread on this legislation every day? They always degenerate fast.
Could be some absolute bargains here if they sell the J cabin. And in general to be honest on a 9 across 777!Jump to post
