Will 50 J provide for more upgrade room for premium fliers who would use Global Certificates or miles, therefore seemingly be more generous to loyal fliers? It's not just certs or miles. Midwesterners seem to prefer the Gulf side of Florida for some reason. Because we've seen Miami. Additionally, UA has traditionally been the 'go to' airline of the US3 for the smaller midwest cities so they've got loads of established frequent fliers. For all the doom and gloom about IAD, it seems like UA is gradually building up the small market connectivity that would make the hub a lucrative part of the network.
