At which airport on a connecting Flight will I need to show my visa for traveled to India?

I am planning on a flight from Vienna to Abu Dhabi and then onto New Delhi. I have an overnight connection in Abu Dhabi for 23 hours.

I am a US citizen.

Will I need to produce my travel visa for India upon check-in in Vienna?

Or will they only check in in Abu Dhabi?

CVG-LIT-DFW (DL)
CVG-SDF-DFW (DL)

Re: Building a connection at a non-hub airport

In the 90’s, I would often have a regular ticket - but then ask the gate agent to rebook me in creative ways. It often was successful. A couple of years ago, I booked Boston-Nantucket-JFK on JetBlue. That was a fun one! Upthread, someone asked how this is done. You simply choose multi-city booking.

Safety briefing from the 1970’s question

Dear all, My memory may not be accurate here. I remember when flying Boston to Florida in the 70’s, the safety briefing always included a life-jacket demonstration. But flying Boston-Chicago, it did not. I recall the explanation was that when we fly over water (to Florida), we need that briefing. Bu...

How often have you created your own connection (on one ticket) via a non-hub? For example, in the 90’s, I would do things like: Atlanta-Knocksville-Cincinnati on Delta Chicago-Des Moines-Denver on United Countless others! These were not same plane/one stop/direct flights. If I recall, runway 14 was built as a one-way runway for takeoff only. But I noticed today that Delta flight 5645 as well as a number of other flights landed on 32 (same runway, opposite direction). Have things changed or is this an anomaly?

What are some of the larger airports that don’t have any jetways at all? What about smaller airports that do have them? The fascination with carry-on is fascinating, I’m going on the 2-day trip to CLT next month, checking my bag. It’s far enough enough to drag it from the cab to the counter. Not sure why you would call it a fascination! It’s more like a time-saver. I’d rather have 45 minutes to do other things than ...

Widebodies were so much more common when I was little. We used to fly BOS-ORD regularly in the 1970's, and UA/AA/TW all had either DC10's (AA/UA) or L10's (TW) on the rout. First 747 was in 1981 on a BA flight BOS-LHR. That was a treat. In the 1990's, I flew my first 777 on United. I remember how sp...
