In the case of ICN, looks like a negative turn due to likely MX on another 789 so they had to wait until one arrived from ICN. Relatively minor delays on NRT, likely nothing major or anything indicating dispatch reliability problems. HKG likely is an MX issue. There are bad days in any operation. A...Jump to post

If B is in the final phase, are they not going to rebuild the garage?

Appears the Navy is playing it smart by shooting for IOC in 2019.
Hopefully more bugs will have been ironed out.
I also can't help but think that now that the Israeli's have their
1st 35's on property, their expertise would come in handy in
ironing out all these bugs
Oh please.... the 900/900ER/900MAX are all you can get from this frame that should have stopped @ 800 I know the 900ER is a runway hog but isn't it quite popular with airlines? I mean, especially if airlines already have type rated crews, then it seems to be working for them quite well. I think it'...Jump to post
I just want to know when ETIHAD will fly a 77L into DFW that sports
their new livery? I'm not getting any younger
I was randomly thinking today that the Dreamliner had been in operational service for almost 6 years now. That being said some of those frames I'm assuming will be coming up for lease renewal within a few years. I guess my question is how will the 787 do on the secondhand market? Could that possibl...Jump to post
IIRC, Since AA launched the LAX-HKG flights, they're using the same jet on a DFW-HKG-LAX-HKG-DFW rotation. Wouldn't take many short delays on a routing like that to snowball , causing extreme delays on the last leg from HKG-DFW. If that frame goes tech in the middle of the trip, not sure how they han...Jump to post
Best summary I can come up with for 2016;
"...it was the best of times, it was the worst of times.."
Indeed no surprise at all, and long expected. This will serve as yet another point of departure between the strategy of Delta and its two largest U.S. rivals. It will be interesting to see how it plays out and how, if at all, this affects Delta's network going forward - particularly across the Paci...Jump to post
Saw Rogue One yesterday and the Leia cameo at the end of the movie

Prayers to all her family, friends and many fans

It definitely looks angry, very angry.
FWIW....friend of mine spoke to an AS employee last week on her flight
from LAS to SEA and he said AS plans on keeping VX's ops at DAL
and AS's single gate at DFW as well.
Not really sure how that'll work but we'll find out soon enough
Stumbled across this on youtube, this guy have to be an A.nutter

Excluding American Eagle, the mainline fleet was at 926 aircraft a week and a half ago. A quick wiki says 930 right now...compare to DL at 842 and UA at 724. I flew a VS A333 from DTW to LHR and back last year and the only complaint I had was 4 abreast Upper Class was too cramped for folks like me with broad shoulders. I've seen pics of their new 789's with 3 abreast Upper Class and I'm sure you have a lot more shoulder room. Other than that, that was fa...Jump to post

In previous US airline mergers repainting planes into a common livery didn't wait for Single Operating Certificate, the "Operated By" stickers allowed paintshops to start work as soon as the merger took effect. So when does the code-share and common FF programs begin? Dec 15th? I had heard code share was ready at launch. I expect 1/1 would be logical start. FF probably is a bit more complicated. If/when QF starts 789 flts between DFW and MEL, would it be safe to assume the A380 currently serving DFW-SYD gets downguaged to a 744ER or additional 789? It's not safe to assume anything at this stage, except that the 744ER cannot make DFW-SYD nonstop. You're right, I forgot QF8 stopped in Brisba...Jump to post
