Anything I see in the news anymore is taken with several grains of salt.
Let's wait & see what the facts are

Either they order CS-100's and let their mainline pilots fly them
or go set up a "Southwest Express" operation and farm out
the smallest market flying.
Might be the only way smaller markets in texas like CRP, MAF, BRO and others
can keep WN service in the future.
For her own safety, I assume the engine wasn't running? LOLJump to post
The Proposed Dallas - Houston high speed rail project isn't run by Amtrak.
It's a privately funded deal, either way, I pray it becomes reality.
Heck. I'd be okay if they started Acela trains between DAL and HOU
if the High speed rail project falls through
Nice looking ship, I like the dual island designJump to post
I'll be shocked if WN doesn't start to look at a different airplane for the less busy routes. The -7 isn't going to be that airplane. The -7 will be for routes where the -8 isn't capable. The CSeries seems like it's tailor made for WN if it's interested in operating a 2nd type of aircraft. Either t...Jump to post
Just saw a blurb on facebook saying the a T-Bird jet flipped over after landing / rollout?
Update..... Here's most detailed account I've seem so fare

ATA had flown Boeing 757-200 and 737-300 planes out of MDW when it was in operation, and the Boeing 737 MAX 10 is smaller than the Boeing 757-200 and 757-300. While that is true...it's different engines on a different plane with different thrust ratings. Apples to oranges. IIRC,......WN has ordered...Jump to post

I'm betting on Southwest. Appears they'll make the Max8
the backbone of their fleet.
Speaking of UA Airbuses since I've only ever worked for United as a mainline carrier - - they are far more comfortable to work than UA 737s. We need to staff with 3 Economy flight attendants and 2 in First. The initial service takes far too long with just 2 on a 739. We need more FAs on ALL of our ...Jump to post
Not to hijack the thread, but how many planes are sporting the new QF livery?
Haven't seen A380's in new paint yet
https://www.google.com/patents/US20030062449 The content from this 2001 patent, titled "Twin aisle small airplane" seems to fit what Boeing is looking for rather well, except the patent is for <200 seats class. Interestingly the patent from 2001 also mentioned the term "Middle of the...Jump to post

I must admit I'm shocked at the number of orders the Max 10's have secured so far,
but the airlines must like the numbers they've seen from the flight test program.
Congrats to Boeing. Now if UA would have a new livery ready to apply
when these new Max 10's arrive
Wow! impressive research.
There are actually more pax 744's in service than I realized.
Love the fact that BA still flies a 744 into my home airport DFW on a regular basis

DAL-HOU first flight
Love the tweaked livery. That livery will look amazing on all their Dreamliners,
especially the 787-10's
I'm sure the 777X will garner many more orders, but if I'm an airline exec, I'm waiting until a real 779 is well into flight tests so I can see some real performance numbers before signing a check. With the current backlog, I doubt a new customer could get their hands on a 779 before 2024-25 time fr...Jump to post
Norwegian is rumored to be looking at Texas for future service.
How about DY service from HOU to LGW ?
Hobby has an international concourse now, so the logistics would work.
I think the cabin laptop ban is hurting all the ME3 airlines.
We have corporate clients who are back to flying LH or BA
to / from India so they can work on their laptops in flight.
Could it be that putting QR in trouble is exactly what they're aiming for? The UAE stand to benefit a lot from the demise of QR and so does Saudia and Gulf Air. QR 's operation is very vulnerable , a 20% drop on load factors would be catastrophic. This will hurt all the ME3 airlines if this drags o...Jump to post

Airbus will never cancel the 380 before Boeing ends the 747 program.
BUT.... I can see a scenario where the 380 is cancelled within a year or 2
after the 747
I can't wait to see an A350-1000 in BA colors as well as VS liveryJump to post
Wonder how many UA employees get axed over this ?Jump to post
I could see them settling in quite nicely into Austin. BA has done killer on that route so why not try there? Spirit has a nice hub going at DFW , It would be intersesting to see Norwegian set up some kind of agreement with NK for pax feed. Actually, any international option other than AA / BA to E...Jump to post
I was lucky enough to get TSA Precheck on my Southwest flight couple weeks back.
I'm not signed up yet but I plan on investing the $85 for the application.
