Think they are standard A359s which have a fair bit more range than a 77W
So, if the leasing company turn up with a crew and claim their property what would happen? I remember watching a TV show about Nick Popovich and his repo company and IIRC , when they came to repo a plane, they would pay whatever fees the local airport or FBO were owed to buy their cooperation in co...Jump to post

Amazing thread, thanks for the effort compiling all that info.
Still a treat to see the daily BA 744 here at DFW.
Hope they keep her on this route as long as possible
A plane to avoid when flying AA. 30' pitch in Y, 172 pax vs 160 in the 737-800, and no IFE. Not much of an upgrade for the people riding in one of these. People just need to realize that seat back IFE is going away. There is zero financial incentive to lug all that extra weight around when people c...Jump to post
Let's see how Boeing reacts when Canada dumps tariffs on all the Boeing airliners Air Canada and WestJet have ordered, as well as the Super Hornets the Canadian Air Force were considering. The Canadians could also ratchet things by requiring visas for American passport holders. Congrats Boeing, you ...Jump to post

Wonder if UA and DL might keep a few 744's active for the college bowl season ? Some of the larger colleges can easily fill 744's with fans or the teams themselves Delta is flying the 744 to TPA*, LAX, SEA, EWR, CLT, DFW, BUF, and FLL in this order. If you live in these cities, keep an eye on Delta...Jump to post
Boeing may win this battle but lose the war. If this tariff sticks, I doubt
Delta will ever buy another Boeing jet for a long time. Short term,
they can kiss any MAX sale to Delta goodbye
Man I was hoping they would go with a new livery. The AF1 paint is one of the most boring 747 paints out there. But I guess it's easier to maintain with all those cheat lines. That livery was designed in part by Jackie Kennedy for the VC-137's so I doubt anyone would dare suggest revising the liver...Jump to post
That no roo on the engine thing REALLY annoys me. I hope they will put them on their current fleet when they repaint like the a380. I bought a Gemini Jets 1:200 QF B789 2-3 months ago and thought they made a mistake on the model when I saw no 'Roos on the engine nacelles. Sadly, they were correct.Jump to post
I'm sure AA could use a few A359ULR jets to open up new city pairs like MIA- JNB DFW / ORD - India , MIA-Tokyo DFW-TLV to name a few :) You do know that AA has already tried ORD - India with the 777-200ER, no real need for the A359ULR for this route. Okay, how about DFW - DEL ......... that would g...Jump to post

A fine livery on a fine aircraft (UPS on 748). I wonder whether UPS will add the additional title "Synchronizing the world of commerce", below "Worldwide Services", as on the rest of the fleet? Actually, UPS has modified their livery so only " Worldwide Services" appea...Jump to post
Interesting the engine nacelles are white? Are they actually white or do they just appear that way because they have the parking stand floodlights shining directly on them? They appear to be similar to the illuminated part of the fuselage. I stand corrected, afterseeing that airborne show of AA's M...Jump to post

It appears that Southwest may have its first commercial Boeing 737 MAX 8 flight tomorrow, September 18, 2017, ahead of schedule. The routing is currently showing WN47 DAL-HOU, WN47 HOU-SAT, WN636 SAT-DAL. (Registration N8705Q) https://preview.ibb.co/iGdctk/WN_MAX.png https://preview.ibb.co/nzcFeQ/W...Jump to post
Great analysis. It makes sense that AA would ultimately rationalize their long haul fleet around the 787, A330, and 777. I cannot image any mission or market contingency those 3 aircraft could not cover when you look at AA's international route network. Why introduce another plane type that is not ...Jump to post

So actually more -900 order may mean CX is looking at more secondary destination opportunities. This is what I was thinking; the 359 has longer legs than the 359; there's no reduction in the numbers being ordered, just a greater emphasis on the longer range model. As to the A350-1000, does that mea...Jump to post
I'm sure AA could swap those 359 orders for more A321Neo's if they wanted.
AA has like 75 - 80 B738's delivered in 2000 that additional NEO's could replace.

I just hope AA use the satellite and add another lounge there. That will bring 13?14? gates in E, large enough to justifies a lounge. I'd prefer AA keep gates in the main terminal and build a lounge there if they were to do it. You could move all of Spirit, Frontier, etc out to the satellite, makin...Jump to post
