Thanks for your update OMAA, how many 789's are down engineless at any one time ? Will the 3 new ones coming in the next few months have the fix done before delivery ? If so, that should ease things operationally somewhat. The new 789's coming soon will have the new and improved Trents with the fix...

Virgin Atlantic would agree with you. They have several 789's grounded due to the same RR engine issue.

The 777-9 will become the biggest widely used airplane, the era of anything bigger is over. What do you mean by this statement? How many do you think will be sold in the next 20 years or so? If I were an airlines CEO, I'd wait until the flight test program is well along and Boeing could present
some real world numbers. Besides, first few years of production is sold out, so no real hurry to
get in line right now.

And as others have mentioned, the 77W fleet is still rather young.

Their runways and taxiways can handle it? And oddly enough, FR24 says it's continuing to DFW :confused: That would make more sense but its at FL150 headed towards PIT. perhaps emergency low on fuel? Does anyone know when the first A333 will be retired in 2018? I'd be surprised if the A333 is actually retired. I foresee it ending up in Domestic service on PHX/DFW-Hawaii and Hub-Hub. It works well on those routes, even with such a small fleet. I think AA keeps the A332's for the missions you men...

I can see a business case for the C series at WN. Many markets WN used to serve with 735's , including many
cities in Texas, could be served better by CS100's than 737-7's. It would also enable them to open service to smaller
markets without farming out that flying to a commuter airline.

LN3 is on display at the Museum of Flight at Boeing Field in full company colors. It's in their new pavilion and is opened up so you can walk thru and even check out the flight deck ( behind plexiglass of course) Do they have a full interior installed on it? I haven't been to MOF in a couple years ...

I know BA says they have a plan in place to replace their remaining 744's but IIRC, it still falls 5-10 frames short

of replacing all the 744's ... I top off order from BA would make sense. They seem to be happy with the 77W's they have now.

Was taxiing this morning in DFW by terminal E and was floored to see N670US parked at E16. Never seen a 744 at E. It was quite a sight to see it parked next to a DL CRJ. So that's why I missed it.. I think it would be amazing if there was some sort of airplane museum where retired planes go not to be destroyed, but instead being able to walk inside them and look around. Keeping the planes the way they are and not destroying them or taking them apart sounds a lot better. People would like that...

We are near the end of 2017. So in 7 years, on Dec 31, 2024....how many Boeings will be in DL's fleet? The 739ERs and maybe a few 738s left. Is that it? Would 717, 757, 767 be all gone? SCARY to think..... FOR SOME No way will 717s be gone, and I think some of the newest 757s may still be flying by...

N921NN is in the bare metal livery. The only indication that it's been repainted is that the registration number is now in the new font. Eventually they're all going to go away. Whether they keep 17x however many, they won't keep them, especially with the prospects of the 797 on the horizon. The 797 is a decade away at least. I'm betting AA swaps their A359 orders for either A338neos or A332 ceos to replace those remaining 763's Yea...

Why are the Trents on 787 having issues and not all the others on A330 and A380's ? Do they have some new metal that doesn't work well at high temperatures ? All Nippon and Virgin seem to be tremendously affected by this at the worst time if year to be. I wonder if any 787 contracts will cancel Rol...
