LH's 744's are no doubt in immaculate condition, but aren't those some of the highest
hour 744's still in service. Surely, the remaining 744's will be the first to be replaced?

That is good news. Not so good news is BA is pulling their 744's from DFW after 27 Oct, replaced by their 77W I believe.

Hopefully the Queen returns next spring/summer

Reality is UA won't absorb these taxes, they'll just bump up their fares to cover the additional expense,
so UA's customer base will get soaked in the end.

No, but the plane will not start doing extreme load testing until the static test frame has been tested to Limit Load and Ultimate Load.

I saw a LH A333 at DFW yesterday ( 9/2) in new livery and did a double take.

Thought a 359 had snuck into DFW until I circled around and got a close up look.

New livery looks better in person IMHO. When will the first 380 get the new livery?

IMHO...... Boeing should be working on a 787-3 V2.0 to cover whatever the upper
end of the MOM market is and save their $$$$$$$$ for a true clean sheet 737 replacement.

Rumours abound of a new BA livery launching with the A350. I guess we'll need to keep an eye on the tail... It's having the current Union Flag (i.e. the tail logo) put onto the sharklets as well. There was another vintage jet crash in WI late yesterday with fatalities .
That plane was also on his way to Oshkosh.

Looks like they expanded the area where QF's 380 naps between flights, they even added lights.
FI and WW now RON at DFW , so the extra ramp space was needed

Last I heard AA hadn't signed off on the design on Term F yet. .

DAL can easily grow beyond its current size of 20 gates. Remember that the airport use to be the principle airport for the region with ~70 gates until DFW opened. It is artificially being restrained far below its max capacity. MDW has double the gates of DFW with more passengers and aircraft moveme...

Also, DL has the MD-80 & MD-90 retirements to deal with as well as bringing the new CS100
fleet up to speed. Makes sense to make the investment to keep the A320's going for awhile longer
