I'm sure AA could use a few A359ULR jets to open up new city pairs like MIA- JNB DFW / ORD - India , MIA-Tokyo DFW-TLV to name a few :) You do know that AA has already tried ORD - India with the 777-200ER, no real need for the A359ULR for this route. Okay, how about DFW - DEL ......... that would g...Jump to post

A fine livery on a fine aircraft (UPS on 748). I wonder whether UPS will add the additional title "Synchronizing the world of commerce", below "Worldwide Services", as on the rest of the fleet? Actually, UPS has modified their livery so only " Worldwide Services" appea...Jump to post
Interesting the engine nacelles are white? Are they actually white or do they just appear that way because they have the parking stand floodlights shining directly on them? They appear to be similar to the illuminated part of the fuselage. I stand corrected, afterseeing that airborne show of AA's M...Jump to post

It appears that Southwest may have its first commercial Boeing 737 MAX 8 flight tomorrow, September 18, 2017, ahead of schedule. The routing is currently showing WN47 DAL-HOU, WN47 HOU-SAT, WN636 SAT-DAL. (Registration N8705Q) https://preview.ibb.co/iGdctk/WN_MAX.png https://preview.ibb.co/nzcFeQ/W...Jump to post
Great analysis. It makes sense that AA would ultimately rationalize their long haul fleet around the 787, A330, and 777. I cannot image any mission or market contingency those 3 aircraft could not cover when you look at AA's international route network. Why introduce another plane type that is not ...Jump to post
Wonder if UA and DL might keep a few 744's active for the college bowl season ?
Some of the larger colleges can easily fill 744's with fans or the teams themselves
So actually more -900 order may mean CX is looking at more secondary destination opportunities. This is what I was thinking; the 359 has longer legs than the 359; there's no reduction in the numbers being ordered, just a greater emphasis on the longer range model. As to the A350-1000, does that mea...Jump to post
I'm sure AA could swap those 359 orders for more A321Neo's if they wanted.
AA has like 75 - 80 B738's delivered in 2000 that additional NEO's could replace.

I just hope AA use the satellite and add another lounge there. That will bring 13?14? gates in E, large enough to justifies a lounge. I'd prefer AA keep gates in the main terminal and build a lounge there if they were to do it. You could move all of Spirit, Frontier, etc out to the satellite, makin...Jump to post
Could Southwest Airlines lease gates in the DFW Terminal E Satellite Terminal in 2025 when it can start service out of DFW without having to give up gates at Dallas Love Field? Even though Southwest Airlines wanted the Wright Amendment repealed instead of choosing to start service out of DFW Airpor...Jump to post

Nice collection of gliders there
Imagine the work to just put in the refuelling option. That is just one of the changes. The hardening of the electrics to survive an electro magnetic pulse on already installed wiring etc etc. Read an article last week about the current VC-25's and it said the refueling was added to compete with Mc...Jump to post
So if the NTU Transaero birds are spoken for as AF1 replacements, and the BBJ has been taken, there is only 1 whitetail left. The only remaining orders are UPS and whatever Airbridge will take. Really? Do you have a link to confirm this. I was of the under the impression AA wanted to dump their MD-80's fairly quickly. The youngest plane in the fleet is nearly 18 years old.
When the final teen is delivered, the only remnants of the 787's spectacularly botched genesis will be the hulk of LN 5, now owned by a scrapper but still sitting at PAE, and the unplanned test aircraft LN 4. Once TEN testing is complete, will Boeing scrap LN 4, or keep it around for future testing...Jump to post

is that still the plan?
Hawaii is typically covered by 763s out of DFW.
I hope these whitetails get a new lease on life.
Otherwise, they're destined to rot away in the desert
before quietly being scrapped.
ikolkyo wrote:Southwest will receive its first 737 MAX 8 in August, they should have 10 on property by the end of the 3Q. EIS is still set for October 1st.
I think AA should replace the remaining 763's with 788's
since they're already on property.
Perhaps the A338neo rumors are there to help AA
drive a harder bargain with Boeing
