Re: Are you choosing not to travel to the USA?

I'm an immigration attorney. Frankly, I'm not seeing a downturn in the number of people coming into the US. This is great for my business! I am always getting calls from people here from the Middle East and South Asia wanting to invest their hard earned money in the US. Trump and his policies are no...

Re: Dubai Ideas, places to see, opinions

Dubai is nice. I've been there a couple of times. If you want to see everything, do the Big Bus Hop on Hop off tour. Its reasonably priced and it gives you a complete tour of the whole city. You get on and off where ever you want. I had a great hotel for airplane spotting in the Diera area of Dubai.

Delta L-1011: JFK-DFW 1989/90 - (I remember this flight like yesterday, we started our take-off roll and then some ways down the runway we came to screeching halt. Captain came on over the intercom and said some indicator light went off in. Everything got cleared up and we got back in line and took ...

Re: PIA to connect Leipzig with New York and Islamabad

PIA is a very unpredictably airline. I hope they get their act back together. But, we can only wait and see. The LEJ routing doesn't make any sense. They are not going to get any PAX out of it. It just seems that the cost of flying there is going to be cheaper for them, which in the short term may b...

RE: Immigration Status Of PAX, Evac/Med-Divert

I'm sure it will depend on the circumstances you outlined. If its a diversion for a serious medical issue, the first priority is to land and get that person to a doctor or hospital ASAP. I am sure that immigration for whatever country it is will likely be working in the background to ensure that the...

This is an excellent commercial. It shows a great deal of class, and BA is a classy airline. A lot of the things shown are not real (pulling up socks), tucking a person in. But, the commercial is meant to appeal to Indians abroad, but it appealed to me, a P...

CBP = customs and border protection. "Border Protection" is in the name. They have broad authority to ask questions investigate and deny entry to the United States. Why not protect the border 8000 miles away than within the border. This is the point of preclearance. These <acronym title="Coimbra (- ...

I think preclearance is a great idea, just walking off a plane and getting your bags and be on your way, but it still has some kinks in it in AUH. We obviously don't know what the flight attendants saw or did. All we know is one side of the story. I am an attorney. Airlines are sued everyday for valid and not so valid issues. The issues that are valid are the kind that involve pure negligence where for instance, the airline fed the old lady a meal that had peanuts in it, knowing that she had an allergy to peanuts. Airlines have their own in-h...
