Re: US Airline Booking Trends during COVID-19

We will need lockdown again due to the anti vaxxers and anti maskers. Lockdowns are a great method to help slow COVID infections. We are seeing decreases in air travel after the holidays due to the new variant. Glad to see people choosing facts over fear and using lockdowns as a tool to slow the sp...

Economy seemed cramped compared to other Delta economy seats, maybe its just me . It’s not you. Several airlines use the same seats in Y on the A350. Claimed seat width on websites vary widely. New aircraft are always more efficient and hence cleaner. Aviation is a false worry in the grand scope of things its too small. And if China doesn't have to comply anything the US & Europe does is meaningless. Agreed. It's like when people want to make everyone go vegan because of cow farts. Th...

For a virus with a 98% survival rate and with the average age of Covid death being 82, it's understandable why a young healthy individual would not want to take a risk of getting this vaccine with less than desirable reported side effects. With all the data that is available now, it is clear that t...

Check that survival rate again. In the US there are about 12,000 new cases per day and about 300 deaths. My math says about 97.5% survival. That’s not very precise because rates are changing and deaths lag infection by a few weeks, but close enough. While good enough numbers, I care more about long...

There are a few distinct noises to the A220.

The first one is as people are saying on spool up which I've heard be called the 'Vulcan howl'.

The second is on approach sometimes which has a kind of whaling sound which I believe is either the RAM (I think it's called) turbine or the hydraulic system.

And you don't have to clamber over two people from the window to get out into the aisle. Sure the middle most seat in the five isn't great, ...
