Spirit Airlines A32N N917NK… Where is it?

I haven’t seen this aircraft lately. According to FlightAware, it last flew 1/13/2023 from LAS to DFW.
Is it still sitting in DFW? If so, Why?

So, I was reading about the LEAP VS. PW1000G, and aside from differences being one is geared, one isn’t, what are the main differences, and which one is better (and/or quieter)

Re: Spirit Airlines A320Neo routes?

That might be hard to do. I once flew NK PHL to DFW and was excited to see that the equipment was a neo, only to go to the airport and have it substituted for a ceo last minute. The neos do routinely come to ACY also. Well that’s a bummer. I was slated to fly BNA-TPA and back on one (two), but Spir...

Hello All: The question is in the topic. When the 717s were with airTran, FL used Exxon/BP Turbo Oil 2197. (Now Eastman Turbo Oil 2197.) I don’t know what they put in the 737s. I only know what the 717s got because of the sticker on the cowling “USE ONLY EXXON TURBO OIL 2197” (on aircraft with the t...

Hello everyone, I recently did what I called a "Douglas Run" where I flew on at least 1 of the remaining Douglas jets in Delta's fleet. One of the flights was an A319 though. My legs were as follows 12/15/2017 1. STL-DTW - Boeing 717 (McDonnell Douglas MD-95) 2. DTW-ORD - Airbus A319 (Fres...

Hello All, I am genuinely curious as to where Delta's 717 pilots came from. Are they former/current MD-88/90 pilots, did they come from NW, or Legacy DL, or maybe even AirTran/Southwest? I am just wondering if they are type rated on the MD-88/MD-90, so they also went through the crash course (pardon...

According to planespotters.net, whose data may not be completely-current on this type, virtually all 29 of the Saudi MD90s were sold to Aersale, and as a broad generalization because I wasn't going to count each frame, about 2/3 of them have been scrapped, with the rest stored at ROW. I'm not sure if this belongs here or tech/ops, but I was wondering if DL purchased the ex-Saudi Arabian MD-90s to use for parts? It's obvious they don't fly them, but given the large fleet of 717s, they technically COULD fly them (717 pilots could fly them with the 717 Type Rating). But last I heard...

Re: I have some questions about the BR700 engines

I would love to see the BR725 on the B-52. Would the BR715 be too much oomph for them? The 725 has 16,100 while the 715 has 18.5-21k. The BR710-B3-40 with 16,000lbf would have been a great replacement of the JT8Ds on the DC-9s for Delta/Northwest. or even a BR715-A1-30 with 18.5k pounds (little more...

On an airTran flight out of MSY on a 717, I was in 27A, and I am used to the A/C shutting off just before engine start, but while the air was still blowing me from the Gasper vents, the left engine rumbled and motored for a bit and then started.
