Hello, Yes, there is a counter-balance helping to open the door in whichever method to open it.

Hi: Long time ago, at VRA, a B767 was pushed back by airport workers til a/c reach distance where to start engines and clear turn..
Pusher, and lo Russian “Belaz” (a T-34 Power plant) was out of service. After that, airport decided to keep 2 pusher “green”, Justin case.

The only noise you would hear is a pressurization leak. It could be a faulty pressurization seal or Miss adjusted door stop fittings. Did you report it to the crew? Next time, look for Toilet Paper’s roll, get it wet and place on top air leak. Sound will repeat after some 30 min, due paper become dry. Repeat procedure till land.
This procedure is not new, nor in AMM, is copyright from FA, who uses it for the same noise, when it comes from entry doors..
