Slightly off topic, but why didn't KLM choose the MD-80 like SAS and Finnair did? When I look at most European airlines who have flown the DC-9, except maybe British Midland, they all added the MD-80 to their DC-9 fleet. I still find it surprising that they chose the 737-300 and 400 over the MD-80....

It was definitely a GARUDA operated flight, as GA had its Middle East stop-over for European services at AUH.

KLM only stopped at DXB (B747) or KHI (DC10) on its way to Indonesia.

There are probably close to a dozen routes out of ATL that have at least 12 flights at some point in the year. BOS, LGA, DCA, FLL, MCO, DFW, ORD, and LAX come immediately to mind.
