Re: 21 years ago - Ansett A320 Sydney to Brisbane

This is fantastic! Never got the chance to fly Ansett or Australian Airlines (pre QANTAS merger) so these retro reports help fill in the gap, so to speak. That refreshment is still better than what I'm routinely offered when flying economy in QANTAS and Virgin on my regular trips back to Australia t...

Re: (Why) do US airlines not admit their Business Class passengers into their business lounges?

I was incredibly surprised when I flew DL JFK to SXM last week that even some international flights do not get lounge access for J pax. As an Australian, that's pretty much unheard of. I know.....surprising isn't it? As a frequent foreign visitor to Australia without QF or VA status, I got so used ...

Re: JL 779 Kona to Narita Business Class - What a Little Rain Can Do?

Hello Carfield, and thanks for this insightful view into JL regional service and Kona airport. What can I say except that I'm disappointed at the sub-par service you received from check-in right through to inflight catering and afterwards, the connections issue! It was this last point about having t...

Thanks for the trip report, I do think we are lucky in Australia to have such great airlines, although the price, especially premium classes does reflect this! jrfspa320, Very well said! Absolutely spot on when you say we're lucky to have such terrific airlines in Australia. I am not a blind advoca...

"U excpected 2 meals on a flight that is less than 6hrs? That's laughable." QueenoftheSkies, As Akinsoul pointed out, there are still premium airlines out there which provide a meal soon after take-off and a 'snack' prior to landing, even on medium haul flights. And sometimes, these 'snack...

Re: Malaysia Airlines A330 New Business Class Review: SIN-KUL-ADL

Hi Ryanair, Thanks for this TR. I missed out on sampling MH's new biz class when I had to give up the return leg of my SIN - KUL - SYD ticket last year. I've been wondering every since what I missed out on. But thankfully, your report has remedied that. I love MH cabin crew service, and your report ...

Thanks for the report. Just what I was looking for since I'll be flying UA to experience their Polaris business class offering. I must say, right from the beginning that the blue tablecloth is ugly and very cheap looking. Its only a small detail, but I think in premium cabins, its the details that m...

Re: Of storms and snow part 1: QF/EK SYD-MEL-SIN

What a great TR! It was interesting to see what a recent Emirates economy experience is like after reading so many reports focused on business and first. I agree that the economy cabin is far less 'blinged-out' and therefore, in my opinion, not tacky like their business cabin. But each to their own....

Re: Etihad - From The Stunningly Sublime (First Apartment) to the Shockingly Dreadful (Business)

Hello VXCabinCrew. What an interesting read because it chimes in with my own experiences on EY. I was lucky to fly AUH-LHR return in First Class (old FC on a 777) and was truly amazed by the service. Makes me look forward to trying the new FC. But on other flights in Business from BNE - SIN and AUH ...
