Producing the engine is only part of the problem. The other thing is ensuring that they have support teams stationed around the world so that they can get to an AOG situation within hours regardless of where the aircraft is. If the OEM can't offer that kind of support, they won't be able to compete...

I don’t think A330neo will happen, it just makes too much sense to simplify the fleet around the 787 in that segment. A 737 MAX , 787 and A350 fleet is an excellent combination. Well, we can't say for sure. MH only place an order for 8 B787. There are currently 15 A330-300 and soon too add around 7...

As part of the completion centre China ordered a whopping 75 A330s few years ago. And more orders might follow as the plan is to deliver 2 A330s per month in 2019.

It was just seasonal storage, most if not all A330s have returned to service.
