It baffles the mind why AA doesn't serve PHX-COS. I can see a mixture of the CR7,CR9 & 319 on the route 2x-3x a day. UA flies DEN-COS 10x a day. I would be surprised if anything less than 95% of that traffic is not connection pax.

Most landing noise comes from the airframe, not the engines. Flap settings can really change the noise level. With the P8 I would bet the noise is coming from all the extra antennas and other stuff hanging off the airplane that civilian airframes don't have. Good point! Wingtips are very different ...

Maybe the expansion and rebuilding of LGA and JFK will help create more slots. I think JFK is more likely especially with Porter's partnership with Jetblue. There are of number destinations only available to from JFK. PD doesn't need pre-clearance to start JFK. I think this would be a good stop gap...
