I've not kept up with what's happening at VIM, surely there is a huge need for operating all those 777's with the World Cup on currently ?Jump to post
Great news ! The Chinese airlines don't seem to have much difficulty getting into LHR with all the recent new flights, so I don't see why CZ can't put an extra daily flight in either. Otherwise, I'm sure LGW would welcome another new China service too.Jump to post
Oops ! I'm sure this will be sorted but meanwhile very bad for their customers. BTW, JA14KZ is an -8F not -400F.Jump to post
I'm sure most people that need to travel to/from Liverpool from the South -East would welcome an easyJet service than be stuck for over two hours on an expensive, unreliable and often overcrowded train. easyJet should give it a go from LGW.Jump to post
Read that AF1 went back to the US via Guam ( Anderson AFB) and Hawaii ( Hickam ).Jump to post
Perhaps IAG and Airbus will come to a meeting of minds at the show over A380 pricing and place an order.Jump to post
Many of the Caribbean airports don't have jetties.Jump to post
HER seems a very odd choice for a splash & dash for AF1 to me....why not one of the German US basis like Ramstein ?Jump to post
That's a bit of a damming indication as to the real state of the JS fleet if even a TU204 isn't trusted or authorized to take him to SIN.Jump to post
NRT also temporarily suspended to Jun 28 for 789 engine mods.Jump to post
Must have been quite a sight for the FNJ airport workers - has a 747 ever been there before ?Jump to post
Twice -weekly with the new E190-E2. Surprised they chose LPL over MAN, I'm sure they've operated to MAN before.

Late delivery of the A321NEO's have forced Primera to ditch flights this summer ....the aircraft will position to STN to maintain TATL from there. https://economyclassandbeyond.boardingarea.com/2018/06/05/primera-air-suspends-launch-birmingham-services/?mc_cid=4f62ee8904&mc_eid=b61dc4c7c8#sthash...Jump to post

Well, at the end of the day business is business and if those two frames are worth more in parts than being sold on then so be it. Sad, but business reality. So are HiFly getting the next two ex-SQ birds being withdrawn now or what ??Jump to post

Well, I for one congratulate QF for doing so well and for having the initiative in giving this a go. I hope the CDG & FRA flights come to fruition too. How about AMS as well ? On another note, I wonder of TK might be tempted by an IST-PER flight, easily doable with a 77W as it's shorter than som...Jump to post

The yellow arrow leads up a track surrounded by farmers crop or livestock fields, and as it's over a gate it's private property. Best to stay on the side of the Lowfield Heath Road for arrival shots. There's also a crash gate which you can see over with small stepladders. No parking in this vicinity...Jump to post

With MAN-LAS doubling to 4 x week on the 744 next summer that'll take some of the pressure for seats off the LHR-LAS 789 flight. Smart move.
I do know that the current LGW-LAS flight has people from all over the country catching it, so it makes little difference where ever it goes from in the UK.
I'm wondering if Norwegian is eyeing up what's happening with the MAN TATL situation and may pounce.
Re the VS flight, surely it would be better for them to serve JFK & ATL by an A333 doing a W pattern LHR-JFK/ATL-MAN-JFK/ATL-LHR on a daily basis than a 3 a week 744.
It does beg the question why hold such a prestigious sporting event in such a far flung part of Europe where the airport can't cope with expected arrival numbers Not sure when you where last time in Kiev, but last Tuesday they still had terminals in operation for 4,000 passengers/hour, which are mi...Jump to post

Looks like Rosaviatsia weren't happy with what they found after the AN-148 crash.
It does beg the question why hold such a prestigious sporting event in such a far flung part of Europe where the airport can't cope with expected arrival numbers and when they get there, they get ripped off big-time for accommodation. BA used a 789 to LAD, so hardly surprising they want all serviceable 789's freed up. Also, BA is cancelling NRT for nearly 3 weeks 8 - 27 June which again should allow for 789 engine work. Cancelling NRT completely, or just one frequency? That seems extreme! Not completely, just being pulled tempor...Jump to post
