Re: AS1282 PDX-ONT decompression event, returned to PDX, FAA temporarily grounds 737MAX9 for inspections

The one thing that keeps coming up in my mind as I read about this latest 737MAX debacle is how much it sounds like the issues with the DC-10 back in the 70s where McDonnell-Douglas had "records" of modifications being done to aircraft cargo doors prior to delivery and then it turned out n...

That's how YHU has decided to brand themselves. I assume that they are leaning on Metropolitan as it can go in both languages. No different that MCI being KCI locally really. At this point, I think that Boeing has done a really excellent job of trashing their reputation with both the airlines and the flying public. Now, I freely admit that I am an Airbus fan and absolutely love flying the A320 family as a pilot.....but the 737 and Boeing in general just seem to be going ...

I think it’s also interesting how they have setup PACL (Porter Airlines Canada Limited) to run the E2 side and the Q400 operation is separate. Clearly when the E2 operation implodes (and it will at some point in the not too distant future) they still want to protect the core business. The way they h...

Porter is paying about $30 million US per E2....so it's safe to assume that they are marking them up on the sale and leaseback. And since the E2 is a sales dog, Embraer needs the E2 to be a proven success because if Porter's E2 operation goes south, the entire program will go down the toilet with it.
