AF will never leave NCE.
However, they will leave the ORY-NCE route and stay and the CDG route to feed the hub.
Transavia will replace AF on domestic markets, with the same frequencies, but it appears it will be fewer frequencies than previously mentionned.

I don't get the point of having a new type only for a NOU-XXX-CDG route.
The A339 is a performing aircraft and they should stay with AF connections in NRT and SIN.
However, I think HND is a better port than NRT with more connections with AF flights.

I'm surprised about this retaliation.

Very much doubt Transavia will go long haul, although it may be interesting to see - just out of curiosity - if an A321XLR could reach RUN or FDF. It probably could, but probably not with enough payload to make it worthwhile. And I am not sure about the A330 competing against the 10Y A350s. No way ...

I don't think this is a good solution. I live in the southern part of Paris and ORY is much much quicker to reach than CDG. So, for the Nice or Toulouse shuttles, I wonder what will happen... We were told, as reported in this thread over a week ago, that this order was between A359/A35K and 787/777X. It seems that AF/KL decided that the A330neo doesn't meet their needs. Except flights to South East Asia + Korea/Japan, the A330neo could fly to Africa, all America, Carribean and Middle Ea...
