Re: Pittsburgh Aviation - 2024

Pre check has been moved to the alternative security checkpoint. They didn’t even bother removing the signage from the main checkpoint. From what I have gathered talking to some folks in the know, the change came about because Clear was complaining that their customers have to wait to long to be let...

Re: Avelo Airlines News and Discussion - 2024

Very surprised that they’ve gone for Concord instead of Charlotte and ATL. What’s the chance Delta would kick back? If ATL had a secondary airport they could have flown into they would have picked that, much like USA. Of course there will be subsidies for these two routes. As for a Delta response 0...

I would be a bit surprised if ATL did well. I could see decent LF but the yields would concern me. F9 is able to make ATL work from certain cities since they can connect folks. Great to see Breeze add a dozen of more flights to RDU. Their main goal should be is serving markets that the legacies don't fly. MCI and PDX are one of them. Hell, DSM too! Why did Sliver get rid of the 340's? I really think this was a painful move for the airline when going from 34 seats to 70 all of a sudden. Could they opt to bring back some of the 340's on smaller markets? Makes me sad to see them struggle financially. I also wonder if they might consider opening ...

Hopefully they can turn things around. They need to focus on EYW, connections, codeshare flights. Build EYW up with additional Southeast markets, build a better connecting operation in MCO and FLL, strengthen their codeshare with B6.
