Re: New Zealand Aviation - April 2024

NZ6 post was number 1 in this thread that he mentioned other places possibly being a surprise, perhaps you are right MNL/BKK. There is some slack in the fleet depending on how many 787s aren’t flying at once. Possibly NS25? Yes, he said " There are other options on the table which might surpri...

Re: New Zealand Aviation - April 2024

Sometime back Foran mentioned using what they have and building existing routes to 5, 10, 14 weekly. That was specifically in the context of the US only. At the IATA gathering in Istanbul last May, Richard Quest of CNN asked Foran "where to next" after JFK, to which Foran said "we've...

They may find that is more valuable. For example they could increase AKL- NRT to ten pw all year long not just summer or extend the seasonal AKL- DPS to a full year schedule. NZ indicated that they would work with what they had for now, although there were some more recent comments that hinted they...

Re: New Zealand Aviation - April 2024

Not sure really unless they can lease in a 4th 77W after OKW arrives in around September. If they could get another one it might be possible to expand a bit or they might just return to the former destinations eg ICN. What would generally be better for an airline - opening up new routes at a lessor...

For the 747-300 QF flew AKL-LAX (5652 nm) for a period towards the end of the 747-300 service life. The only longer listed -300 route in this thread is the potential SEL-YYZ Could it do LAX-AKL non stop with any sort of payload, because if so then I think we have our winner for this variant.
