The GAT*s were acquired, and bar GATU delivered before Alex Cruz became CEO...but let’s not have facts get in the way of things.

Re: BA492 Unstable Go-Around at GIB / Diverted to AGP

I also think it was a stall. Having the gear down way too long after the go around didn't help matters. First of all it’s pretty much impossible to stall an Airbus in normal law, so that’s unlikely. Second, it’s SOP to leave the gear down after a go around in gusty conditions as you don’t want any ...

Re: Confirmed: British Airways to paint 4 aircraft in retro livery

Apparently there are a couple of mistakes being reported on BYGC's paint...there is a Union Jack flag that is painted upside down, and the belly should be painted silver! The flag is painted correctly, in line with the original BOAC scheme and in accordance with UK flag convention. The Flags and He...

LHR already has a very high proportion of quiet aircraft like A350, A380 and B787. Whenever people complain about noise they should think back a while - anyone remember Concorde? Planes were never as quiet as today - I live about 5 miles straight below the final for 27L and yes, you can hear planes....

Sounds a bit vague to me to claim they sounded different. There are endless variables that affect how a plane sounds from the ground, i.e. cloud coverage, weather and specific flight profile. The flames came out at approx. 50-100ft in three or so quick bursts. Considering there have been quite a few...
