Pardon the ignorance, but where does an airline "return" planes? I'm aware WF owns aircraft per searches on flight aware, but I never thought of "where" something like this would take place? Thanks.Jump to post
This thread is what makes me laugh about A-net. 170 plus posts about a flight attendant who goes on a completely inappropriate twitter rant....which is why I absolutely abhore social media and the self absorbed people who post on it. In contrast, PSA is in the middle of what’s going to be a WEEK pl...Jump to post

Referring to the comments about airshows, what is it about summer airshows that boost sales? I'd wonder that folks in the business of purchasing expensive planes have access to them, airshow or not? I've always enjoyed using liveatc on my flights. Of course there are limitations. The wifi being shut off during approach for one, but I listen religiously while on the ground. :) Of course you could always revert to the technology of the good old days, a radio scanner. That never fails, and nowada...Jump to post

Is there a separate switch for the tail illumination lights (managed by the cockpit), or are they on the same circuit as the other navigation lights? I mean, you wouldn't see the tail illumination int the daytime, but I can't imagine there's a "turn on tail illumination lights" in the pre...Jump to post

I have a special needs child in the autism spectrum. This idea that all kids can be "controlled" is obtuse. My son used to have major behavior challenges when younger, and travelling was a nightmare. Yes, the tests are still going on in various countries. The key here is that the "This is not a drill" part got through. For all intents and purposes, this was not a "test". if you don't ever intend to really send them out in any other case but a real emergency, there isn't much...Jump to post

I know I will be flamed for this but does EVERY Concorde have to be preserved in a museum somewhere? Don't we have enough examples preserved already? How many were built/surviving? This is a great thread with tons of great information. Thanks to everyone who has contributed. I don't see how it couldn't help orient one to the very basics. I realize as an avid flight simmer that I would never claim to be a pilot, but after 17 years of flight simming, thousands of hours of reviewing approach plates, installing realistic addons, if I were to take the plunge and go to flight...Jump to post
Altitude can be useful topping weather including t’storms. At F470, while the weather can get higher, that level does put above 90% of it. Many times one can top the cirrus for a better visual picture on the weather. In the Global, on a short leg like 3-4 hours, F430-F470 is useable for the entire ...Jump to post

I use Flight Simulator X, and Flight Simulator 2004 (FS9) religiously.
