I think its funny when people bring up 757 operations outside Europe and North America. How many 757s were operated outside these regions? Going even further, how many of the TOTAL operators actually used the 757 to it's extent? Comparatively, how many operators period use the A321 on longer routes...Jump to post
From Bloomberg, GE Capital Aviation Services to supply first nine airplanes to Moxy. Also from the article they revealed Neeleman plans to base Moxy near a tech center that is not Silicon Valley. My guess is going to be RDU or GSO. Although IAD does have the capacity and they have a rail link to th...Jump to post

Buy a house.
Then when you feel comfortable enough, buy a car. Maybe by then the support infrastructure for electric vehicles will be sufficient for true widespread use, on the level that gas powered cars is. If EV infrastructure isnt up to snuff by then, get a hybrid.
I admit to know absolutely nothing about I fly.
But going off what you said about the old runways, I'd go out on a limb and say that is the result if the way airfields were designed back in the old days of flying, a lot of old fields in the US are that way because they are old WW1/2 fields.

It was rumored that NW was looking at DTW-BGW shortly after the fall of Saddam. Obviously it didn't happen but still a weird one. If you dont know anything about the oil industry, SVG-IAH was a weird one too, as well as SAs JNB-IAH in the 80s, and SQ SIN-DME-IAH which is now SIN-MAN-IAH. The CO/AirM...Jump to post
PTY and CM serve that role for intra Americas travel. Mexico is in a good spot geographically for Oz-eastern US and southern Africa to western US but MEXs altitude makes already fringe flying not doable due to its altitude. You all should really charge Trump for all the time he spends in your heads! Really, ignore the BS, take your kids to the park, watch FlightAware or visit a strip club for God sakes. Life is too short to spend it worrying about Trump. BTW, he was murdered while Trump was president, so apparently, T...Jump to post
Forget bunks, labs, and cargo. Put lounges up there! Couches and seats on the sides and the pathway in the middle so you can stand/walk. It could be an EK style bar, 70s style lounge, or flying mobile airline lounge.Jump to post
Sorry I do not have any links to share, but I can say the naming of this proposed aircraft was far superior than the name of the proposed Sonic Cruiser. 2707 pays homage to the first Boeing Jet Airliner along with the bright future to look forward to in the next century. Shame it never came to frui...Jump to post
Are there even 16 different commercial aircraft being produced?Jump to post
This was decided 20 years ago. I have it on good authority, I heard straight from the mouth of a senior VP of flight operations at a major airline, that Boeing refused (for any price) to put the 767-400 cockpit into new build 757s and 767-300s in the late 90s/early 2000s. And people wonder why the ...Jump to post
I think the delaying of the retirement of the 747 would rest on LH, CA or KE since they operate the 748 and those arte still pretty young even compared to QFs 744ERs. The 747 offers much more capacity than the 789 so I'd imagine the Project Sunrise order to include some base models to act as a 747 r...Jump to post
A thread about CHS got me wondering about this. Are there any US airports with US military installations integrated/sharing the airfield? The only ones I can think of are CHS with Charleston AFB and GRK with Gray Army Air Field. Im not talking about airports that happen to have ANG or reserve units,...Jump to post
Thats pretty cool! And thats coming from a straight guy! Good on Condor!
I know a one time 99% load factor is not indicative of how well a route is doing but I'm happy to see MSY getting some good international love.
There was a girl (excuse me, woman) who posted here quite a lot - way back when, but I cannot recall her user name. She lived (lives still) in New Orleans. --- Fact is, it takes a woman of exceptional fortitude to tolerate the male-dominated world of online aviation forums; too many guys go scent-m...Jump to post

realistically, no-one else needs Roc, right? On paper, it appears to have an even greater maximum payload figure than the An-225...No idea about the comparison of payload-range scope, though. Perhaps they need to increase the cycles of some A380's due End of Lease in a few years and no second hand market? ... What's the advantage in increasing the cycles for a carrier? Silly stunt would be flying between DXB and DWC Yeah I would like to see a free A380 shuttle service from DXB to DWC in order to catch a connection. If that isn't short enough, EK could offer an A380 shuttle from Terminal 3 to Terminal 1. It would be the pilot's choice whether to take off and land,...Jump to post

I'd like to hear new developments from the electric commuter aircraft world and the start-up SST manufacturers.
And I'll always have my fingers crossed for a United A220 order.

I used this in a Motivational Monday email when I was an intern at WN.
It's very inspiring and still gives me goosebumps!
