763s, A330s, and a lone 777. Todays DL lineup vs NWs lineup at AMS is boring.Jump to post
I'm not a fan of diverting to DCA at 3:39pm today. A tornado warning was issued for us at 3:45, and the weather was pretty ominous by 3:30. If they couldn't land at IAD, choosing to land where the storm was heading seems like it wasn't all the way thought out. I wonder if it was approaching a fuel ...Jump to post
While the A350 is a fantastic airplane and would make a great 772 replacement for UA, I'm in no hurry to see the sCO GE-powered frames leave.
Part of me is also in the camp UA will use the deposits to switch to the A321LR or even the A220. But I know it won't happen

I am 100% aware that seasonality to beach destinations is an across the board phenomena, for US3 and the smaller players. Though how much of the TATL fleet is sent to beach duty beyond the 757's? what do UA/AA do with their greater number of widebodies in the winter? For UA, many international wide...Jump to post
An airline that is havong big financial woes, is starting a new route. ...to Mongolia. What can go wrong? A) there's more tourism to Mongolia than you probably realize... and Koreans are the clear #3 group (following China, Russia) B) there are no non-stops to Japan... leaving connecting opportunit...Jump to post
And by the way, have you all NOT seen Futurama and the Great Garbage Ball episode!?! http://theinfosphere.org/images/archive/4/4c/20061206164321%21Giant_Ball_of_Garbage.jpg It won't work, it'll will all just came back at some point to haunt us and kill us all! Ok maybe not interstellar, but definitely off planet. A thought occurred when I was driving to work. Reusable rockets offered by the likes of Musk and Bezos are all the rage right now. Well, instead of launching your daily driver in to Martian orbit, why not do humanity a favor and start emptying la...Jump to post
Id have to say the passenger comfort technologies in the 787 make it top for me, but nothing beats the sound of the GEs on the 777s.Jump to post
Where is the 788 heading to now?Jump to post

Mountain Biking, skiing, and hiking are mine. And playing video games when I'm bored, and travelling when I have the time. I also can't wait to start my permanent schedule at work so I can start working out again, which I don't really do as a hobby, but for therapy. I also want to get back in to the...Jump to post
Imagine if DL flew a 747 to DAL in this era!Jump to post
Its definitely one of their more interesting/ambitious routes. Im glad its working for them.
Id go out on a limb and say it's more for west coasters to have another option for vacation, not Joe Schmo with his family, but Joe Millionaire and his trophy wife.
Shouldn't be too difficult. Retrofit a CIWS on to each of the existing LLWAS detector poles already strategically placed around the perimeter of most larger airports. Problem solved. Seriously? The Phalanx fires 20mm rounds. Can you imagine these raining down on the airport and adjacent neighborhoo...Jump to post
love the GUM hub, really wish it could position itself to a SE Asia hub with a connection to LAX/SFO. When UA recently pulled GUM-PVG, the network planning VP stated a new route from GUM would replace it, however, appears that has backtracked and there has been nothing. Really would like to see a L...Jump to post

NZ wouldn't start JFK anyway, they'd go for EWR if they were to go to NYC. Why? EWR isn't an obvious place to hub to AKL. NZ could just as well take the O&D at JFK. Lufthansa, Turkish, Air China, ANA, Asiana, Austrian, Egyptair, Avianca... all operate from JFK, as do other *A carriers. As state...Jump to post
What's wrong with believing in God? I believe in him, and yet I still believe science is the way to explain the universe. It's called having your cake and eating it too. I'm not really religious but I was raised (loosely) Catholic; and when I go through tough times I drop a few Hail Mary's and Our F...Jump to post
The trains are already packed leaving C a good part of the day They really have to do something about the trains, like adding more cars and doors or making them run more frequently. Ive been on it where they get totally full just when they leave C to go back to the terminal and have little to no ro...Jump to post
Going even more OT, IMO CO should've made a move for F9. They had quite an extensive codeshare, complementary fleets and networks, and CO really wanted to get back in to DEN. Before the UA merger, there were rumors that if UA dumped DEN during bankruptcy, that CO would be all over it like white on r...Jump to post

Tinder and Bumble suck so I figured I'll try to make a dating section on airliners.net where I'll at least have aviation in common with other people. It's open to anyone with an a.net account Plus I'm bored lol. So lets try this! I'm TWA772LR, a straight, male, Houston transplant in Denver who love...Jump to post
Cultural and geographic. Consider this statistic: Brits who need a passport ...Jump to post

I’m working the island hops today. Water or juice and pretzels if there’s time. Same aircraft with four legs. Some of schedules later in the month are 5 legs with the SJC startup. Agreed. I am quite certain this is exactly the case.
