Re: Metering mode for plane spotting

With the Canon's I used lately (700D, 80D and 5D MKIV) I also never had to underexpose. Especially on the first two mentioned bodies that would only produce unnecessary noise (even at low ISO settings) and because of that I would be careful with underexposure on consumer oriented bodies. Sure full f...

Hi Stefan,

the fuselage has a red cast. The shot has a rather dark feeling overall (partly due to the position of the sun with the prominent shadows), so I agree with underexposed as it would look better brighter.

Re: Today's equivalent of the Canon 350D?

It all depends on your budget and what kind of photos you plan to take. That's definitely the right answer. The current equivalent of a 350D would be the 800D. It will be quite an improvement already, as Yerbol said any current DSLR will be an upgrade. After that...it depends (as Kas said before)....

Hi,

the SIA would need a tighter crop IMO, closer to the engines. Additionally it is soft, especially towars the left side (cockpit and wing), could also be a tad brighter.

The Norwegian is a nice motive but unfortunately the shot is blurry, so it won't make it.
