If the 764 wasn't converted to Polaris it would be fine to save the money and place on domestic - that is if UA has a surplus of intl aircraft and needs the domestic lift. There has not been a one for one delivery/ retirement pattern noticeable. In fact all 14 77Ws are now delivered.. Unaware of any additional retirement flights for another few weeks at least.

Yes UA does have an employee assistance program, and it's been offered in all current internal communications
UA plans two more humanitarian flights today UA2755 and UA2756.. both 77W.

I saw an article with a picture of DL aircraft (presumably at IAH or HOU) with most of the fuselages almost completely underwater. I don't know if this image is Harvey related, but how extensive and expensive is the damage on aircraft that are submerged underwater during floods? IAH has no flooding...

UA ops at IAH are tentatively planned to resume at 1900hrs Monday with 7 hub to hub flights and facility officially open Tuesday in a limited fashion ... events permitting of course.

Is Copa getting rid of any more of the 73G's? These can go directly though the current G new F and slimline mod. IAH field doesn't have much flooding issues, so aircraft can stay safely. UA employees were told to stay home today.

These four slots were part of the 65 converted 73G order that were already in progress. UA switched them to 738s and the rest to MAX. Yes I understand that. UA ordered the 73G and decided they wanted 4 special 738s out of the 65 instead. It did always seem a little odd that they converted only four...

Wow, this truly underscores the fact that ALL those 787 ULH flights won't have the new Polaris seat for a few years to come. Yet, so impressive that United has so many 787s! In any case, you're right, still no Polaris. They were ordered and seats requisitioned before Polaris came along. It seems silly, but these things obviously require a lot of lead time. The next 787-10s will arrive with Polaris, however. Those deliveries start sometime in the second half of next yea...
