Old north is being used as a aircraft parking area, no active flight activities. The curtain is there to keep people from wondering around in the unused space. Seems like a waste of perfectly convenient gates until construction starts. Walking distances at IAH are only getting worse with the moving...

On the 77W front, how many frames are committed to routes so far? As of August, the routes will be SFO-NRT, SFO-TPE, SFO-HKG, EWR-TLV, and SFO-EWR as a bridge. This will require 8 frames. I'm guessing there will be one or two spares as well. By Aug all 14 had better be in service as the last one in...

Given it got back to LAX around 3AM there would have been little in the way of ground staff or open food places to deal with that volume of passengers. Understand most slept in the terminal and food off the aircraft... (if true)

If you have the fuel, why not increase the passenger's odds of survival by running at max speed? There is no need to burn/dump down to MLW: An overweight landing is usually not a problem. The required maintenance check is pretty simple if the landing was "normal" and the plane was guarant...

77W 36-40 Nothing much new 41-43 The usual testing stuff 2136 is schedule to be released from maintenance on 5/18, but they having multiple inflight entertainment and seat electronic issues. Customer Service males have two shirts, three ties, two vest styles, one blazer. All can be mixed/matched as we so choose. Inflight has one additional shirt and tie CS doesn't.

Where are you seeing that? FlightAware still showing no activity for over a month. Boeing now shows it 'Ready for Delivery', but still at PAE. (UA could be doing some induction work on it there since they officially own it, but seems unlikely) :confused:

Now that the new C North has been opened fully what is next at IAH? Has United vacated old C North? With all the money being invested in IAH I am curious to see how it could grow in the future. As my home airport for the past 3 years now I hope to see it continue to thrive and eventually grow again...

It's only partially open as is.. fully unlatched would be pointed straight up. In that case the air flow might get under the panel and pull it up slightly. There are at least five/six other latches here and there on that panel so it wasn't going anywhere.

77W UA now has five in service... kinda. The first three have been flying passengers for weeks. The fourth has flown a few revenues and is now sitting in SFO. Fifth has ferried hub to hub but has yet to see a single paying customer. It's now in LAX. Neither show any activity for today on FlightAware...
