Re: Etihad to cancel a "significant amount" of A350 Order according to Aviation Analyst

How does Airbus re-prioritize the backlog when an order is cancelled? Since delivery dates are negotiated for different times for aircraft in the order, are open slots offered to every airline to negotiate for? Do airlines bid and potentially pay more (e.g., because of demand) or less (e.g., because...

Re: Interior pics of Delta's first A220-100

Delta did the right thing by installing PTVs. The wi-fi and i bring my own equipment doesn't fly for infrequent flyers. Everyone i know who complains about a flight says "that was an old plane, it didn't even have TVs" As a frequent flyer I prefer PTVs. 1. I can watch a movie or the movin...

Re: Would Eastern still be flying the 757 by now (2018)?

The bigger questions is would EA have remained part of Texas Air? If so I suspect its fleet would very much mirror Continental's. That brings up another point. If EA labor relations were not so poisonous, I suspect CO and EA would have been merged into a single larger carrier during the 90s, or at ...

Re: Will UA ever relaunch the RTW flight?

I took PanAm 1, the old RTW option, from LAX to HND in 1968, with a stop in HNL. That was about the best they could do back then. It was a long hard way to get there. The other option would be do ORD to ANC to HND. PanAm 1 relied on 5th freedom rights to be doable. With increasing passenger loads a...

I don't rate MUC as a transfer point. Prone to delays and many missed connections. So good luck to LH on this. Let's hope they don't time their connections so tight. I think the situation in FRA is far worse than in MUC. Both of their hubs are getting too crowded for the amount of traffic they hand...
