Of the Iranian government is so peaceful wishes for good relations with other countries they should pull their forces out of Iraq, Syria and Yemen and withdraw their support for Hezbollah. Ending their chants "of death to Israel and the United States" would help too.

Runways at Punta Cana?

I flew out of Punta Cana yesterday and noticed that all of the aircraft arriving and departing used runway 08/26 even though runway 09/ 27 was closer to the terminals than 08/26. The Airport was not very busy when I was there but during busier times is 09/27 ever used?

Due to the population and business growth in Fort Worth and the surrounding area I think it wil bel just a matter of time before we see commercial air service at FTW or AFW, by WN and/or someone else.

Wouldn't ramming the vertical stabilizer have brought the 757 down just like what happened to AA 587? It seems like a maneuver like this would give the F16 pilot a good chance of surviving. Terrible duty for the fighter pilot but the passengers and crew were doomed no matter what happened.

Another issue with closing down Love Field would be the very likely possibility that Southwest would move their headquarters to PHX, DEN or LAS.

FLL is well covered by DY plus BA runs FLL - LGW and who knows B6 might be a player if they ever start serving England from FLL..

An interesting flight that no one has mentioned is DL's flight MIA - MCO and reverse that connects up with their MCO/GRU service. This flight has been operating for at least a couple of years so it must be successful even though DL's MCO-GRU flights overfly MIA both ways.

What is interesting too is that international cargo carriers are included in the sheet too. For example in the case of DFW, Air China, Singapore Airlines and Asiana are listed even though they serve DFW with cargo flights only.
