I'd imagine the price of oil would be such that a large swath of airlines globally would go out of business. The knock on inflationary effects would decimate leisure travel.

AA's statergy with CLT is interesting I somehow thought CLT would eat into their MIA ops. Is CLT being used to filter pax from the North East and Mia being used for Central and South and West coast pax ? I'd be interested in knowing where the CLT based pax connect onwards to.

UA could probably fill any ORD-Caribbean flight during winter the issue would be if it could be done profitably. ORD-BGI would be a 5+ hour flight but I think it could work especially with Sandals and the new Wyndham hotel.

Indeed interesting that they'd try GEO before POS nice on the other hand to see Guyana add another carrier. The E175 is well suited for a flight like this hopefully it does well for them.

Norse will significantly scale back their BGI and MBJ flights to once weekly for the rest of the winter season. They really shot themselves in the foot with all their schedule changes and cancellations
