Do we know the frequencies on the routes? TPA sees a huge boost. I wonder if it'll become one of their largest stations. Are they adding new aircraft to be able to do this massive expansion?Jump to post
Dummy schedule for next year. The route is struggling, barely filling 60% in the back while the front is empty. Rumor is that DFW-AMS will go to BCN. ORD-BCN has done quite well up front, even with the late departure (788 rotation) and may go longer. Interesting. How would you know this? One of my ...Jump to post
Looks like N211UA 772 Domestic Mod is en route from HKG to HNL completing that mod package. Three of us flew the aircraft into HNL last night. It will complete the last ferry leg to SFO later this evening. New car smell last night with all those new seats... So how do the domestic 777's look like? ...Jump to post
Shocked to see IAD-DUB being dropped. Also, I find it interesting how TPA-LAX can only sustain around 1 daily flight. DL operates two daily flights on certain days, I know, but when AA entered the market it failed miserably.
Anyways, just some observational comments, not factual.
Tampa is always going to be mid level airport. The city does not have the demand as Orlando and Miami. There is not much business' headquartered there. The sports teams are not very good so they don't draw out of town travelers to see games. The only amusement park is Busch Gardens which is right i...Jump to post
How about UA? I know they announced an update on their MAX order but I wouldn't discard UA being the owner.Jump to post
NK has a significant presence at TPA these days. How many destinations/departures do they currently have and how does it compare to other stations?Jump to post
Hopefully they refurbish the aircraft and look nothing like the international 757's from AA. They are embarrassing.Jump to post
AV109 BOG 22:20 07:01 MVD A320 D AV110 MVD 07:49 12:37 BOG A320 D Interesting that with that schedule, there are a variety of U.S. markets that connect with MVD in one direction or the other, but the only U.S. market - unless I'm missing one - that connects conveniently with that schedule both ways...Jump to post
Seems like UA keeps cutting frequencies all over the board. No more IAD-GUA apparently and it's interesting to see how many destinations go down to only 3 daily IAH flights.
Times have changed.
I would assume Central America (at least one destination) is on the next round of expansion. It would only seem logical.Jump to post
Enilria...despite all of the bickering between AS and DL here. DL has really ramped up SEA activity and probably had a hand at building up all the competition...not just with AS, but with many other airlines old and new. I had this epiphany when I arrived from BOI on a Q400 and kind of looked aroun...Jump to post
Lets call the American executives what they are.... scumbags. 29"??? Why use a toilet when you can just piss directly on your customers. This is inexcusable and why we need to bring back serious airline regulation. I know this idea will never fly on a website fill with airline apologists but f...Jump to post
I wonder when YVR-GUA will come. I take it that a token weekly service on Rouge would be successful... If only they would eliminate the Visas. I must say they are a pain to get.Jump to post
I have a feeling they will go for the E-2 jets. They have been adequately improved, no new aircraft model costs, and have incredible economics. I'm sure the glitches that the Embraers had when it comes to maintenance issues and such have already been addressed and fixed by Embraer.Jump to post
AUS 630 - 1220 BOS 319 BOS 1930 - 2310 AUS 319 A late evening departure from Boston is not going to capture Boston originating business traffic in this market. The schedule seems to sugges that the are they playing to capture Austin-originating business traffic. WN and B6 have sub-par schedules for...Jump to post
Interesting to see that JAX, MCI and ORF have limited connections from BOS. No European flights connect to any of these.
Also interesting to note that this is the second hub invasion from DL. First it was SEA, now it's Boston; funny to note each city is at opposite corners of the country.
I envision an intra-Central American low-cost airline using these planes to hop around everywhere, including getting all the way to Mexico and Colombia. A more efficient and faster plane than the current model with proper marketing and adding a more modern feeling to the plane could get rid of the t...Jump to post
Do we have the schedules for the new flights? Good for AA on trying out seasonal ORD-GUA, definitely did not see this coming. However, it is a route that has been operated before and with a good amount of O/D traffic.Jump to post
I don't know why people pay more attention to the CS series. I personally love the new EMB 190/95 models and the numbers they are promising are nothing to laugh at. I'm team Embraer for the future of B6's fleet as it brings a substantial improvement in every aspect without adding the additional cost...Jump to post
IAH is a much smaller hub than it once was. I'm amazed how flights have been drastically reduced since the glory days.Jump to post
