Re: Detroit Aviation - 2024

So a tad of fare spot checking. You can get from DTW to cdg for under $1000 around the Opening ceremonies in July on icelandair. What a steal. But the fare is just as low from three other markets I checked, RDU BWI and PIT. Not a DTW thing. Buuuuuutttt— Delta is essentially matching that fare in the...

FYI on the UA seat maps I'm only seeing any open seats at all outbound today on Ft. Myers (both flights) , Tampa, and Denver-- but both Denver flights are hours delayed with mechanical issues, the evening flight may have lost some people as a result. Not bad for a Tuesday in April. . . .

I have to agree with OP here. Airlines ramp up capacity for the spring break and Christmas, this was a known event, treat it like a holiday period. A lot of flights from SC and Iowa no surprise there. CT and NC not as much.

Hotels have loosened up a bit Sunday night. Now possible to get rooms in a few respectable non downtown hotels <$400 plus taxes. Rooms in Canton don’t seem real elevated in price.
