Is it me or are they really throwing water to stop the fire? If it's a lithium battery, that will just intensify the flames. And it was coming from a cabin crew too. Shouldn't they have proper training on this and use appropriate equipment available on board?

I don't know, I think it's a good partnership. AA's network within the northwest is close to non existent. On the other hand AS's coverage of the southeast is pretty bad.
So overall I think the partnership makes sense.

Yes from my experience getting SSSS'd actually helped. You skip the whole TSA queue and the only extra things they asked me was to turn on all my electronics and they do the explosive residue search thing, that's all. (Got SSSS'd 3 times total)

Another very short 77W flight is IST-ADB with TK, which runs a few times a day actually (up to 4 or 5 daily depending on demand)! I did it a couple times, about 35 minutes in the air.
