Re: Possible new routes of LATAM Brazil in Europe

LIS is a lock as soon as they can get the slots. They should have started flying to LIS 10 years ago. Taking so long to fly to LIS was a huge mistake they certainly regret now. Other than LIS, there's no realistic target for LATAM in Europe. When it comes to intercontinental routes, GRU-AKL-SYD seem...

Re: Boeing has held takeover talks with Embraer: WSJ

Embraer stock skyrocketed after this piece of news came up. The Brazilian government has golden shares on Embraer, giving the government veto power over a potential takeover. However, I'd think they'd be tempted to allow the takeover to go through as they need to balance the federal budget ASAP.

Re: LATAM to begin seasonal service to LAS

TAP/Azul will finally have a run for their money here. In fact, perhaps it was Azul flying to LIS that prompted a reaction from LATAM. As for BOS...

Oh, that's a pleasant surprise. Hopefully it'll go down just as well as GRU-BCN.

Re: Will LATAM Brasil replace their 763 with 788 soon?

Long time reader, 1st time poster, frequent JJ flyer. The LA-JJ marriage always seemed to be a strange one, at least for me. Two very different companies with very different fleets and philosophies. The process was never easy and there were always tensions between Santiago and São Paulo. But it was ...
