Does anyone know how many different destinations (domestic & intl) Denver will serve this summer? DEN has to have one of the biggest (if not the biggest) domestic networks in the U.S. . . Good question. I know in recent years Denver has on and off beaten ATL in number of domestic destinations s...Jump to post
What’s the story with Frontier at Sarasota SRQ, I knew that Atlanta and Philadelphia were going to be seasonal, but I don’t see any available flights in the fall. Will it only be Cleveland now? And the few connections they offer thru CLE that are super expensive and crazy hours. Do they have plans ...Jump to post
MIA Northwest Arkansas (XNA) E175 Dec. 18 Daily Year-round And XNA-PHL was just announced in the last month or two. AA is really trying to tighten its (already strong) grip on XNA. Though, IMHO, MIA was a bit more geographically diverse than adding PHL what with the abundance of north/northeastern ...Jump to post
Hello, I was browsing around today and found that Frontier this summer will be flying MCI-PHL 3x weekly CLE-SFO 2x weekly MEM-PHL 2x weekly DFW-BKG 2x weekly This one is really weird, is it supposed to be year round? Also, no "focus city" on each end, so I wonder how it will work. AA coul...Jump to post
Latest on the terminal construction and the concrete issues: https://www.denverpost.com/2019/04/20/dia-terminal-concrete-delay/ "May 2023 is the most recent projection made by Great Hall Partners for completion of the final phase of the $650 million-plus project, as disclosed this week in a mo...Jump to post
A far cry from circa 50 years ago, when Farmington was a busy connection point for the original Frontier. 11 daily Convair 580 flights to 7 different airports, including nonstops to Albuquerque and Grand Junction, and flights with stops to Denver and Phoenix. The Convair 580 was a great plane. Did ...Jump to post
Farmington began its' downward slide when Mesa/Midwest pulled out of the city. At one time there were multiple flights a day to DEN on Mesa with the Mighty Beech (1900). I believe Mesa at one time had a relationship with the community college (San Juan ?) in Farmington that enhanced the airport. The...Jump to post
Flying pencil returns. Oddly I have a nostalgic fondness(perhaps misguided) for the Metroliner. Denver Air Connection will start DEN-AIA 2x daily using the Metro 23 aircraft as a part of being awarded the EAS contract there. Alliance is being split off from CDR for the 1st time in literally decades...Jump to post
Per their website looks to start 7/2 to DEN. Maybe some other new routes coming soon. There are more route announcements coming, you can bet on that. The first of the new fleet additions (for this year +16) arrived in TPA this past week to be prepped prior to flying F9 routes. I would look for a nu...Jump to post
I am pulling for HA to try DEN-HNL at some point when they have the equipment to do it. Even though UA is entrenched in this market, I believe the DEN metroplex would support a HA weekly or twice weekly flight to HNL. United's fares are pretty expensive; and HA's entry would bring them down for sure...Jump to post
I really can’t see how it gets ranked so high. Inconvenient location (for local travelers). Parking/rental cars are so far away they add 15-20 mins of travel time to get to the terminal. Crowded trains to the concourses. Nasty, stinky, noisy restrooms with broken locks and 1-2” gaps in the privacy ...Jump to post
Disappointing that F9 will not re-start the DSM-SFO pairing for the summer season. Their number crunchers obviously could not make it work, so its gone. I wouldn't be surprised if UA might not give it a go at some point. The catch though would be the UA fares would be through the roof :dollarsign: :...Jump to post
But RSW-LAX would be welcome by this Lee County resident. Does anyone know how many pax travel this roiute? I imagine you'd have to include pax that current use SNA or BUR in the potential for this route. Just over 100 in each direction, however the connecting fares have been going up just over $30...Jump to post
I just think there is too much competition here. Thats why I get what the expansion in an airport like ORD. They are the premier low-cost carrier at the airport so why not keep it up.
I think something big is comming at NK. The new planes don’t have the “stylized”...Jump to post
Peoria, Illinois had DEN service for well over 20 years on either Ozark, CO or UA. I guess its too close to ORD for UA and F9 is doing BMI again so that takes care of Central Illinois for Frontier. I wish UA would take another look at it. Your observation about Peoria and UA is probably correct to ...Jump to post
Who knows, maybe Frontier is seriously considering acquiring the A220. Not totally out of reason.
What are the population numbers for the greater Mobile area?
Awesome for northeast Wisconsin. I think it would be more beneficial if they did MCO rather then DEN. Wisconsiners love there Florida. But I get it, its their hub. Not the first time they flew GRB, hopefully this one lasts. If the GRB-DEN response is decent, I would not count out an Orlando announc...Jump to post
F9 is trying another go at beefing up DEN. It felt like it was shrinking. You are correct that DEN has been shrinking. The re-connecting with GRB is just one of many former routes F9 has restarted. There will be a small build up of new routes out of DEN for this summer's seasonal flying. F9's DEN o...Jump to post
It seems like frontier historically has been the airline to ruin the announcement too early. Here is what I mean, a city (like Billings) has an announcement press conference planned for a certain time and the airline posts their schedule before the announcement even happens. They did the same thing...Jump to post
More from the mayors of Pierre and Watertown. They call the CP Air service "downright awful” http://www.hubcityradio.com/2019/01/04/pierre-watertown-mayors-express-concerns-with-california-pacific-airlines/ What's especially disappointing about this is that traffic has (or had) been thriving w...Jump to post
Looks like the full Raleigh complement is BOS, TPA, CMH, JAX, ISP, PHL, BDL, ALB, all starting around the end of April. There's almost certainly more coming to the summer schedule elsewhere -- not sure if further announcements will come today or if they will be staged. :checkmark: :checkmark: :chec...Jump to post
With 70% +/- of the US population living east of the Mississippi River and another 20% living on the west coast we will most likely see DN's new airline flying mainly in these regions. If he is smart, which he is, Big 4 hubs and existing ULCC focus cities will be minimized or avoided.
Happy New Years F9 followers! Here’s to 2019 and what should be another whirlwind of a year for our beloved Frontier! I’m Expecting dartboard style route announcements, 16+ new A320neo deliveries, further indigo/wizz/wow/F9/volaris/enterjet/jetsmart partnership announcements. Cheers! :checkmark: :c...Jump to post

I am expecting that DEN will get some love too!!!

I know that DEN has a gate shortage right now, but who exactly is going to be occupying *16* additional C gates, let alone the A gates being added? . I can't see WN taking all of the new C gates; that'd be a lot of growth, and I'm not quite sure they could do that. A few months back there was some ...Jump to post
Thanks as always for taking the time to compile and post this stuff, enilria! I love how you say "F9 Changes" instead of trying to sum up everything the dartboard airline does! Yeah, I'm crowd-sourcing that! What's up with HRL-ORD? So weird. SY has flown MSP-HRL in Spring for a long time....Jump to post
SEA-CLE 4x/week starting in May. Hmm... Maybe the PDX routes will be added in later on. That's what happened with jetblue on PDX-ANC/BOS. SEA-ANC was loaded into the schedule, but it took them a good three weeks later to load in PDX-ANC. If the past couple of years scheduling is any indication, you...Jump to post
