The operation of the MD11s will be terminated by 2025. Till then we will see a gradual relacement and a transition to the 777F. If they replace the remaining 12 MD11s 1 to 1 will be seen. That will be subject to market conditions.

Any remote stand in any weather condition is better than A42. FRA is a "grown" Airport, not a greefield site. There are no green field site available anywhere in the Region that could accomoate a MUC solution. T3, in the three building stages, will improve the conditions. Far better chance...

You should have seen the Air Base during the Kosovo war.KC135 with oeiginal and reengined, C5A, C130 etc taking off and landing 24 hours per day. Every parking Position w as occupied. Fraport sponsored a new runway at Ramstein AFB and got the South Side in return.

FRA had 10% growth in the first quarter. The runway System allows 701.000 movements and once the T3 is completed the passenger capacity will exceed 90 Million. Even if the 10% cannot be achieved over the full year, the 70 Million threshhold will be passed in 2019

Spohr recently also expressed that Africa was the next continent to be expanded upon. It was looking bright for SN to finally open new African destinations but the only expansion they received is long haul operations out of DUS.
