Powerbacks are prohibited at UAL, as the entire fleet has underwing engine pods which increases risk for FOD ingestion and injuries to ramp crew. Powerouts are permitted at certain gates without obstructions where the bridge can be pulled clear of the wingspan but are rarely used in practice.

Not that it's particularly germane, but RSW also draws heavily from the Midwest.

In the 90s DL had on-again-off-again MD-88 LGA-RSW service, usually no more than 1-2x/day in season.

I'm sure UA would have loved to commence Polaris retrofits this quickly, but seeing how much difficulty Zodiac is having with meeting delivery commitments for the 77W fleet, it would seem the ship is slowly pulling out of port on the 767 mods.

United will get some facility relief by the end of this year as more of its gates reopen as part of the T7/8 renovations. Eventually 4 more gates will be available for use that are rotationaly out of service. One questions the wisdom of subleasing out four T6 gates just as a similar number of gates...

I am guessing ZW will replace SkyWest as the CR2 operator for UAX. Since ZW will only be ORD/IAD, it remains to be seen whether OO will continue with CR2s on the West Coast.

Mostly driven by gains at United (~2mm pax). UA has been flying larger equipment on the mainline side and regional upgauging really began in earnest in 2016. I believe overall UAL movements are flat to down in 2016 vs. 2015, however.

MSP is an odd place to start. If the purpose is to match ULCCs one would think ORD would be the most important place to put it. Putting it in MSP will likely set off a mini fare war with overly protective DL. The choice of MSP is very aggressive and they have relatively little F9/NK service compare...
