With what aircraft? DL doesn't have many available planes, and they're using the 359 for 744 replacement, and neither DL nor AA even have long haul out of SFO, so why would they start off with a route that would cause overcapacity, and would require a large part of the fleet that can do this route?...

I can't remember what was changed though....been to long since iv flown it. Off the top of my head, I believe the SFP has sealed slats and increased deflection for ground spoilers. The tailskid was also modified. Not sure if the SFP includes the carbon brakes but UA 737s have that anyway regardless...

Man, the 789 are on some longgggg routes. The 788 on the other hand is on a bunch of mid haul / shorter long haul. UA has both PW and GE 772ERs doing some pretty long trips as well. Most of the ERJs will replace the remaining 16 Q200s, which are 37-seat turboprops. The 50-seat ERJs will be a capacity increase.

The 5 oddball Q300s were already slated to leave the C5 fleet this year... total of 21 frames, essentially a one-for-one exchange, plus flying C5 has taken over from XE.

IIRC, the seats on the 777, 787-8/9/10 will be the same width. If they go 1-2-1 on the 787 (as suggested), they won't be. I struggle to call UA at MIA a 'hub' in the conventional sense. While the schedule was designed to facilitate connections to UAL hubs, it rarely consisted of more than 20-25 daily departures (about half WB), and the destinations served ex-MIA were strong local markets.

B30/32, B34/36, B38ab, B42ab are Group V/Code E gates which can handle 747s simultaneously, with dual-bridge loading. B also has at least a dozen Group IV/Code D gates for 757/767-size aircraft on both sides.
