Re: Air Canada and Jazz (Chorus) Extend Agreement to 2035

Oh great news for my fellow Canadians, more CRJs! With the much more comfortable and fuel efficient E-275 available, we still insist on buying these turds. Thanks for your "valuable" comment! By the way (@76 seats) the CRJ900 is more fuel efficient (and has lower CASM) than what you call ...

Hopefully they will at least improve their regional product in these "new" planes...

Re: Austrian Airlines Fleet Renewal

Sorry to come back to this conversation a little late. After speaking to my friend, who is Austrian, she said that the Austrian brand is still held in quite high regard within the country and that people will not be happy to see the brand disappear. I for one would also be sad to say goodbye to Aust...

Austrian Airlines Fleet Renewal

Hi forum, My friend recently traveled back to Vienna for Christmas and ended up flying on Austrian 71/72 on a Boeing 767-300er. As any avgeek I decided to do some research onto the aircraft that they were flying on. I noticed that Austrian's 767 fleet is getting on in age ( with their oldest being 2...

Re: A350 Sharklets

I'm not too sure that I've noticed a difference in wingtips between different A350s, could someone perhaps show the two types for clarity?

Re: Pushing E175 to 4 hours 41 minutes block time

I recently took a flight on a E175 with Air Canada from YUL to IAH and we blocked in at 4h 45. I think it responds to a specific market similar to the 787 city to city instead of going through a hub.

Re: An-148 crash near Moscow kills all 71 people on board

I have always wondered why faulty data on pitots have tragic consequences, really really fast, I know, Its easy to criticize from your chair at home while sipping coffee while situational awareness goes out the window due to the nature of the emergency. There is a youtube video of a female first of...

Re: AN-148 with 71 people gone missing

If it wasn't a mid air collision then the pitot tubes probably iced, but if they did, why the speed fluctuations? Speed didn't fluctuate like that if we take a pitot tube related incident like AF447 iirc. Isn't the FR24 speed the Ground Speed which is calculated by the aircraft's navigation system ...

Porter Sells Billy Bishop Terminal

So I saw in the Star that Porter had sold it's terminal at Toronto's Billy Bishop Airport to InterstarAGF Asset Management. http://www.thestar.com/business/2015...porter-airlin...

New Flights/Airlines To YUL

Hello Anet, I've been lingering for quite some time and this my first post so forgive me if this has been covered. I was wondering if there are any new planned routes from YUL. What with...
