Re: Phoenix Aviation - 2024

I think Breeze may find themselves being pushed out of the market, I believe this past winter they were operating daily flights, but this summer I think they are down to 2-3 weekly flights. I suspect there is a fair amount of LDS preference for Breeze given David Neeleman. They're likely cutting fr...

Re: Washington, DC (BWI / DCA / IAD) Aviation - 2024

Ive done ORF-DCA several times. One time I clocked it as 21 minutes from wheels up to touchdown - departing Runway 5 at ORF and landing on 33 at DC. Evening flight with about 30 passengers on it (CRJ-200 days). The routing for ORF-DCA is quite a bit more direct than ORF-BWI, especially if you get a...

Re: Washington, DC (BWI / DCA / IAD) Aviation - 2024

Straight line distance it might edge it out, but route-wise ORF is quite a bit farther. ORF departures have to fly over HPW to THHMP (which is effectively collocated with RIC VOR) to join the RAVNN arrival. It also has to join the ZDC feed, and if it's during a push, it's 50/50 on whether they get ...
