Re: Algerian Military Il-76 Down Near Algiers

It's a big aircraft but my first thought was also, wow, 250 pax in an Il-76?

Wikipedia gives no info about the number of seats that can be fitted. However, it says a cancelled version was a double-decked 250-passenger airliner. So, the single cargo deck must be packed with 250...

Hi Sir Hofma, Nice topic, let's see if we can get some life into this forum. I'm not sure anyone can beat your dedication though. 2310706 The story behind this one is at least a little odd. Re: Pilot killed as CF-18 crashes near Cold Lake

The question is why? Is it due to luck running out? Due to maintenance? Due to lack of training? Or something else. Crash numbers are notorious hard to interpret. The Dutch, for example, had 63 accidents (some have been repaired though), with their F-16's. Operated since 1979 and 213 ordered. The n...

Re: [Poll] Do you prefer one or two columns in A.net search results?

I have no strong opinion on the question, but the main problem with the detailed view is that the thumbnails are far too small on many screens. I have come to like the card view. The only thing missing there now is a little room for the caption. Some photos are just meaningless without a caption. Lo...
