If you stop and think about it, IFP is a focus city. SY has been doing charter flights for a long time. IIRC it is a FA base, plus Maintenance is there. N739SY returns when not running LAX to Hawaii for that club they fly charters to. MX is done on that aircraft, 100 hr checks??

I have no solid info on the -900 seating, should be around 212 give or take. Routes, I'm sure would be the heavy leisure markets… MSP to Mexico in winter, DFW to Mexico in the summer. Even MSP/DFW to the Caribbean. Texas, love to travel during the summer to the sun

IIRC, the pilots union wanted 3 member flight crew on the baby Boeing. The DC-9 did not have the cockpit room. A reason why airlines like North Central, Southern, Ozark etc. chose the DC9 vs 737

SY does NOT have 7 planes parked. They leased out 2 737-800 that they did not need YET. They bought 5 737-900 from a leasing company, Currently still flying for Oman Air until they come off their leases, end of 2024/2025.. So in that time frame they will get 7 more 737...
