Re: New Zealand Aviation - April 2024

There's been a bit of chat about OKV and schedules. I can't share too much but it's won't be used on traditional 77W routes. There's a fast growing route which will see it for a period this year.

Re: New Zealand Aviation - April 2024

I don't believe lounge costs going up is to solve "overcrowding". The overcrowding issue remains, nevertheless, and has existed for years before Covid. I wonder whether they will try to address this in the next year, or just leave it? In 2018, they said they had plans to build a second lo...

Re: New Zealand Aviation - April 2024

Koru Club membership fees are increasing by 20% from this month (26 April). I wonder if this will (eventually) ease lounge overcrowding, particularly in Auckland where the sign turning away customers using lounge e-vouchers seems to now be a permanent fixture. https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.flyer...

1) There was a comment made about NZ and AIAL relationship breaking down? I'm not sure how or why we think it has? They hold a different perspective on a topic. We can't deny the NZ-AIAL relationship has deteriorated, which is the heart of the matter. The QF-AIAL relationship too. It's a bit of an ...

Outside this, is there a relationship problem? There's nothing wrong with disagreeing. 2) Has NZ put...

Re: New Zealand Aviation - March 2024

Good find. So this could be where the 8th 77W goes to. It could be scheduled off a US in bound flight eg LAX- AKL- NRT - AKL. 8 77W in the schedule so far for NW24/25 but could change. Also various short haul. 10x LAX 7x SFO 7x IAH 7x NRT I would guess 9 and 10 either do some YVR flying and or SIN....

Re: New Zealand Aviation - March 2024

Given the existing and ongoing 787 issues it just seemed prudent to hold on to at least some of the 77E in desert storage - given that they had already been written down to be almost worthless and the costs of delaying their disposal were relatively trivial. If there had been no 787 issues and no d...
