I know there has been a lot of work on the terminal at LUX in the past few years, but I can't imagine any of the contact gates are widebody capable, are they? I presume this flight will have to be parked remotely. I know the area around the terminal can get pretty congested at peak times.

Compared to the other selections, the DOT is getting a STEAL of a deal with the GCK contract. 2x daily jet service for a 1.5 mio subsidy, where some of these Southern / Contour / Boutique subsidies are in the 5-7 mio range. Insane!

Living and working at MHK, which is only served by AA, I have flown in or out 372 times. The handful of times it wasn't AA, it was Great Lakes, or US Airways / Air Midwest to MCI or DEN on a Beech 1900d.

My guess is that Summer 2022 we will have AA & IB both each operating one frequency from DFW & ORD. These have both been at 2x before with IB being 2x at ORD and DFW being 2x AA.

Is it conceivable that MQ will pick up additional E170s, especially as more E145s go on to Piedmont? Envoy will probably pick up more E70s as they are able to crew them. There are several E70s on the used market and AA can fly those as a 'small RJ.' Again the biggest question will be pilot training...

I would presume the 10 hour stop in IAD is for crew rest. The same reason a 2x weekly flight wouldn't be doable with a triangle is there is no good place to swap out crews.
