This is for O&D connecting the 3rd largest metro area in the US with the growing SEA hub. I don't think many travelers in Chicago take DL to Asia given all of the flights (4x Daily NRT, 1X Daily HND, 3X Daily BJS, 3X Daily PVG, 2X Daily HKG, 2X Daily ICN, 1X Daily TPE). I'm sure in the next coup...

I'm sure the US3 are happy with this! They will compete with "Clever Norweigean," but are terrified of airlines with a real first class. Just goes to show that the US3 product is geared to Chevy, not Cadilac.

UA does a decent job for ORD-Caribbean / Mexico in winter. UA has done ORD-GEG in the past. Doubt this was on AAs radar, but ORD-RST/CLO/CMI/COU is a direct shot at AA. Let's see if AA responds (if they can due to limited gate space, the ORD dilemma). ORD-LHR has no 777s this summer (FCO is the only int'l 777 at ORD this summer, but DFW and MIA appear as rotations). Doubtful a 777 will show up at PHL, CLT, or PHX if they are not at ORD.

AA is out of gates at ORD. Re-banking has made it tighter. This is why there are frequency decreases on some routes, but they upgraded to mainline with a seat increase in some cases.

My sources have been dead on with the MD80 draw down. ORD is where it should be as is DFW. The non ORD/DFW routes will disappear soon. RDU, MSP, TUS, and a few others will be in the long run.

Also, schedules past 4.1 are placeholders, so don't book a flight expecting a MadDog.
