The word millenial was coined before anyone born in the 21st had had the opportunity to do anything significant (I put a low bar on that term, obviously) so that doesn't really work.
It seems people born in the 21st are actually not millenials but what comes after.
If "adulting" means stopping doing things we like to only concentrate on "chores" then I don't see the point. Millenials who haven't learned a skill are screwed, just like everyone else without a skill, nothing new there. Plenty of millenials have degrees and will be fine. Also, ...Jump to post
Some statements are made here regarding illegal immigration suggesting it's treated the same everywhere, that's not true at all. In the EU clandestine immigration is not a crime. This follows rulings by the European Court of Justice. Before the change in 2012 it was a misdemeanor in France, and in p...Jump to post

This is simply not true. As of 2012 (the most recent date I found), an estimated 62 percent of illegal immigrant household used one or more welfare programs compared to 30 percent of native households. Source? Yes exactly. People snuck across an international border and were arrested. This is not a...Jump to post
Trump is killing the WTO, though. No, he is not. The WTO has 164 members, one of which is the USA. Trump is changing US relations to a number of the other 163 members. But he has no power to change the relations among those 163 members against their will. Those 163 members include all EU27 and the ...Jump to post

I don't get why some people think it's about the fate of the families, it doesn't make sense as she's going to see them, nobody forced her to do that.
The whole discussion around the "new MoM" amazes me. I mean, Boeing had the perfect plane - 757 - and discontinued it. Now it seems that all the Carriers are looking for a new 757 but neither Boeing nor Airbus can build such a plane. But opening the drawer, taking out the blueprints from ...Jump to post

Germany would have every right to return them all to Italy, Greece, etc. . Only if they are able and willing to take care of asylum seekers in an appropriate fashion. Leave the Italians to us and deal with the Eastern countries you were so eager to have in the Union and that are now pissing on its values. I learned something, Doc Martin is a French TV series with Thierry Lhermitte, or so I thought. It turns out the French version is a remake of the British one. With Trump I don't know if the word support used for normal politicians really applies. I'm sure many people voted for him without ever supporting him, nor liking him, nor finding him decent or presidential. So they can't really be disappointed by the result.Jump to post
Hannity is certainly no genius but then again you didn’t need much to know who Obama was way before policies such as lead from behind, Benghazi, multiple red lines, Cuba and finally Iran. Suspending the war games is a good thing. I’ll say one thing for all the Trump critics; you know how to move the goal posts and to borrow a phrase, don’t have the education to admit you were wrong. There were never any goal posts, so we can't be moving them. Trump got out of a treaty that actually had goal posts, that Iran was meeting (and...Jump to post
Maybe looking up the GATT (General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade) and WTO would be useful. Under those, countries negotiate tariffs during rounds. If tariffs are as they are, it's because the US wasn't ready to lower some other tariff in exchange for the EU lowering the one on cars. Which is easy t...Jump to post
The composition of the G7 is factually incorrect. If it really was about the LARGEST countries by GDP, India and China should be part of the club. And Italy and Canada be out. The G7 as it is now reminds me more of a "NATO-minus". The G20 has been created for that. G7 comprises the seven ...Jump to post
Kim is an all powerful dictator. He wants things out of this meeting, but at the end of the day, he doesn't need anything. Yep, definitely the mark of a strong man.
Actually Macron won the presidential election in a runoff against our local Trump. Again I repeat but I don't believe it's political pressure. Air France is France's flag carrier, and that's literal, with the name of the country also in the name of the airline. Owning part of the airline doesn't mean much, and indeed AF has ordered plenty of Boeing aircraft.
Political influence can happen without any government ownership. For example I'm pretty sure no US airline will make a mega Airbus order as long as Trump is president.
But is that actually true? The US walked away from TTIP. I can't prove it because I didn't research it, but an educated guess is that these trade deals and tariffs even out between the EU and USA. Well the news were predictable. In real news, the US has fewer tariffs than the other G7 countries. Trump made an excellent suggestion for a tariff free G7 zone as he left. That would be beneficial for all, as the G7 are on a similar level of prosperity and there is little potential to export labor...Jump to post
