The MIA stop will make BOG-DXB a lot less attractive to anyone without a US visa on either end. But if it helps keep DXB-MIA profitable, so be it. Will be a nice premium offer for MIA-BOG pax. I know that transiting PAX have to go through immigration in the US, but in this case since it's the same ...
Jump to postVery sad, being just two hours away in the MIA area we are watching this closely. @Mods recommend updating this title to reflect Naples/I-75 or APF as there are now very specific details as to where this accident is besides just "Florida Highway". EZE still has a prominent AssistCard counter.
Wish I could just paste a picture here, but plenty of pictures of it on google images.
While not the norm, 2 hour waits happen from time to time from what I've been told by friends who travel.
With Global entry it's never taken me more than 1-2 minutes for a machine to open up, and usually there is one simple available without any lining up at all.
Greensboro and Caracas seemed like really weird places for Admirals Clubs, and they only went away four years ago. AA had a sizeable operation at CCS prior to the deterioration of the Venezuelan economy and even had an intersting SJU-CCS flight for many years in addition to the usual destinations l...

Jump to postBuddy of mine just moved to UIO from EZE for a better job opportunity, in dollars vs the currently woefully devalued peso and is surprised at the lack of an EZE-UIO flight. The new service from Latam via LIM doesn't do much from a time savings perspective. But more so than EZE, I was shocked to see ...
Jump to postSomething to note for folks who have Global Entry, canadian airports require you to show your physical GE card to access the GE Kiosks, unsure of why that is. From a reciprocity perspective, the CBSA does have the permission/ability to set up equivalent Canadian Pre-Clearance facilities in US airpor...

US congress established the VWP in 1986 and the UK was the first country admitted followed by Japan in 1988 and so on. My question is, prior to the VWP did every the US request every country besides Canada require a Tourist/B Visa for all visitors? My assumption was that countries such as the UK, Fr...

Was this planned prior to COVID? If not, the timing could not have been better. It was planned before Covid-19 but was not supposed to happen for another 2 years. But the timeline was moved up due to the pandemic given the opportunity with the lack in travel. Argentina's domestic travel which is AE...

Jump to postI thought American international departures required a passport check at the gate. That's mostly about making sure passengers have the documents they'll need to enter the country at their destination, rather than being refused and flown back to their origin at the airline's expense. (Will fly this on March 29, route gets cut May 6th)
Unsure of the procedure here but my guess is that on such a route as ATL-ICN, that J was full as well so there was no choice.
Were you also offered to be bumped until the next day yourself?
Disappointing to see it go but not surprised, given that the route will be around until May I will make an effort to take it to visit my family in COR before it is cancelled.

Great choice, QR offers a great product, flew them MIA-DOH-MCT back in March. QR uses the Turkish lounge at IAD which is nice but can get crowded, worth a visit nonetheless since access is included. Jump to postMy family and my dad's best friend had an American Eagle ATR to ourselves on SJU - STX back in 2008 I believe. The flights from SJU - MIA were very full so we went on the first flight out to St. Croix to spend a day on the island and make it to Miami as Non-Rev's.
