While not the norm, 2 hour waits happen from time to time from what I've been told by friends who travel.
With Global entry it's never taken me more than 1-2 minutes for a machine to open up, and usually there is one simple available without any lining up at all.

The brand new runway which opened at AEP (Buenos Aires's central airport) was widened from 40 meters to 60 meters. (130 fee to 197 feet) - (in addition to being lengthened).

Unsure of the procedure here but my guess is that on such a route as ATL-ICN, that J was full as well so there was no choice.
Were you also offered to be bumped until the next day yourself?

UA launched IAD-RSW back on October 28.
My family lives in Herndon which is only 10 minutes if that from IAD so very convenient.

I am flying the route for Thanksgiving Weekend - Nov 28 returning Monday the 2nd.
Round trip fare for only $157 which is a great deal given the holiday weekend.

Great choice, QR offers a great product, flew them MIA-DOH-MCT back in March. QR uses the Turkish lounge at IAD which is nice but can get crowded, worth a visit nonetheless since access is included. Used to be an overnight red-eye as others have mentioned but it was meant to change with the incorporation of the 737MAX onto the route. My family and my dad's best friend had an American Eagle ATR to ourselves on SJU - STX back in 2008 I believe. The flights from SJU - MIA were very full so we went on the first flight out to St. Croix to spend a day on the island and make it to Miami as Non-Rev's.
