AA has not made any such announcement. AA returned 2 slots back in March. They continue to utilize their remaining slot allocation.

Most recently Delta (received 2 additional), and Sun Country as new entrant but they did not follow up. Rumor over the winter was Horizon(Alaska) was looking to get back into LGB also.

The violations and the large recent spike is certainly all JetBlue's own doing.

Just looking at the schedule today, B6 has 5 flights timed within 30 mins of the curfew. Invariably something likely goes wrong near daily as result.

TK has only ordered GE and RR powered 330s, and has MRO ventures with both.
The PW fleet A332s were second hand acquisitions from primarily TAM, and several have already left the fleet.

Another curiosity is what will happen to the established AA-Hainan codeshare relationship?

Curiously carriers only recently (July 24th) filed with DOT to renew it. Hainan of course hubs at PEK with having taken over the old T-1 and wont be moving to Daxing.

Aircraft gauge regularly gets swapped post DOT awards. Sometimes immediately, sometimes a few scheduling seasons down the road.

Look at DL, who went in promising 747s on its HND route to downgauge all the way to 767s. Both AA and UA similarly have changed gauge post DOT route award.

Going to be interesting what AA does with the opening of Daxing in 2019.
Skyteam partners CZ and MU are the home carriers at the new airport with both airlines already spending money on the move, while Star and Oneworld carriers are meant to remain at PEK.

As discussed in the July thread, with expanded bilateral with Russia, a 3rd carrier on each side is authorized to serve Istanbul-Moscow route.
