Per travel agency advisory, and confirmed by removal from GDS, AZAL Azerbaijan Airlines is dropping service to New York JFK. Last flight scheduled for September 30th.

Currently ops 2x weekly on 787-8 between Baku and JFK.

Let's say this again.

Haneda slots cannot be used for beyond service to 3rd countries.

Slots are only valid for service from a gateway in the U.S. or it's territories.

Regarding LAX-NRT, I also don't see AA dropping it. The new LAX-HND flight will have an entirely different flight schedule so it does not create overlap, while AA/JL still send a ton of connections over NRT across Asia so the loss of capacity woud be significantly leaving only single daily JL flight...

ICAO says Thailand achieved a standards score of 65%, which while exceeds the minimum passIng score of 60% is hardly a wringing endorsement of Thai civil aviation sector.

I am sure ICAO has many findings that will require corrective action before they seek an FAA review.

There should be plenty of space for competition between LA and Seoul. As the largest US mainland to Asia market, Premia only needs to garner small pieces of the pie to fill it's planes. To me spending is by far the most logical means and am glad airlines increasingly following other consumer sectors (hospitality, retail etc) by using spending at the primary criteria in their loyalty programs.
