Interesting that PVD and BUF are mainline while the rest are RJ's. I guess they need the A319's lower CASM to compete with F9 and the LCC's to FLL.

I think the growth of JFK to STI is interesting. STI did not even exist 20 years ago and now it has one of the busiest routes between Latolin America and the US.

AA can only do a limited amount of upguaging due to a lack of mainline gates at ORD and CLT. Despite CLT being a megahub, AA has less than 50 mainline gates and many of them have size restrictions that make anything larger than A320 problematic.

The staff at Global Aviation, the company that does SY's ground handling, have been far from impressive thus far. They pay less than the airport McDonalds so no one should be shocked by the low quality staff they are attracting.

From what I have seen, most of the pax on daytime LHR services are connecting to overnight flights to Asia and Africa - something that is not available in DUB.

FWIW, this is actually normal for many carriers in developing countries. I have personally experienced it in Madagascar and Mozambique. The officials will not allow baggage through customs without its owner being present.
